Prado Apartments

I have lived at the Prado apartments for over one year. The apartments were built in the 70's and have never been renovated. Just carpet cleaning and simple up keep. When they first showed me the apartment and the complex it's beautiful. A waterfall and a nice courtyard with a pool and Jacuzzi, right in the heart of Mission Valley, awesome right? Wrong, the actual entrance to my apartment which I didn’t discover until the day of move in is right next to the trash can where a homeless man lives. It reeks of trash! So you get in the elevator, which by the way hasn't been inspected since 2006 and it always breaks down, and go up to your floor which also reeks of trash because they have a trash shoot on every floor. There is no ventilation on any of the floors, it feels like a hot Sahara desert. So you walk into your apartment and everything seems okay until a couple of days later... my cable didn't work for over 6 months. The apartments claimed it's AT&T fault because they need to upgrade the satellites. Well the AT&T tech told me it's because of the faulty 1970 wiring they have never upgraded. They have let there rude, obnoxious maintenance workers into my home now twice without my permission. They claimed it was due to a flooding emergency. Would you consider a leak an emergency? They come in my home with there dirty shoes and wipe there nasty hands on my bathroom towels and tell me the reason it is leaking downstairs is due to my fancy shower head and I need to take it down immediately. I have had the same showerhead the whole time I lived here and there has never been a problem. They just don't want to fix their crusty 1970 pipes. Where my parking spot is there are pipes above my car and when it rained they leaked rust on my car and they told me I can pay for it and they'll take it off my rent. When I came home they had tapped duck tape over the pipes instead of fixing them. They told me when I first moved in there is plenty or parking... yeah right, no way your ever getting a spot on the street after 5p and good luck on game day. Then when I was finally assigned to a parking spot it's smaller than compact and I have a million dings on my doors and sometimes I have to get in on the other side of my car. The Manager Brianna Wilson, oh my! She is the nastiest, rudest most condescending women I have ever met and if your a young guy she will try to get with you and if you don't she will be even nastier, ruder and more condescending. Don't let them fool you like they fooled me. This place is trash!
