Emily Lukacz, MD, is a board-certified urogynecologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating female pelvic floor disorders such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and lower urinary tract disorders. She co-directs UC San Diego Health's , which provides comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for a wide range of urogynecologic and pelvic floor dysfunctions.Dr. Lukacz enjoys the daily personal interaction she has with her patients and feels that it's both a pleasure and privilege to help improve the quality of their lives.In addition to her strong commitment to her patients, Dr. Lukacz is highly involved in teaching and clinical research activities. She is a professor in the Department of Reproductive Medicine and the director of the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Program at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her research interests include the evaluation of surgical procedures for stress incontinence and prolapse, as well as epidemiologic research on the causes of pelvic floor dysfunction.Dr. Lukacz completed a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Lukacz earned her medical degree from University of Michigan School of Medicine. She holds a mater's degree in clinical research from UC San Diego.
