Amazing services. I've been coming here for years for various reasons. Braces and retainers..she does it all, and very well.
The staff is incredibly friendly with each and every patient that comes in, and they're also very patient. I've never been unsatisfied with Dr. Merz.

Dr. Merz treated my whole family, starting with my son. My husband and I soon decided we should have treatment also. Dr. Merz did an excellent job and we are now starting our daughter. I highly recommend Dr. Merz

In my case, not only she didn't fix a simple aesthetic issue (as per her own words) that I had with only one tooth, after charging $7,500.00 and wasting about two years of my life, she ruined my other (three of perfect) teeth. At the end she said all I had to do is to put composite bonding on that one tooth that I went to her to fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The very first day I asked her whether or not I could just have composite bonding on that one tooth, she said 'NO' I had to have braces. The quality of services that I received from Dr. Merz during my treatment with her was at the lowest level possible. This doesn't mean that she will treat you the same, doctors have their favorite patients. So it is possible that she may treat you differently, I hope that she does treat you better and provide better services to other people but in my case, she ruined my teeth and I've stopped smiling since I went to her. She was horrible to me and at times even abusive which is beyond this forum. The bigger problem is that there is nothing that anyone can do about it. Since it appears that she is very popular (must be all the free ipods that she gives away) among her own community of people and have relatives that are in the business of dentistry or health care so in a way she is untouchable like most other dentists. Good luck with her.

The dentists at Torrey Pines Orthodontics are always so professional and polite. They do a wonderful job. There office is so relaxing, so that when you walk in you feel right at ease. I can't see myself going to any other dentist.

I know I love this place, but my children love it even more! I'm so glad we found a place where they were comfortable enough to go as often as we should. I would recommend this place to anyone who's children are scared of the dentist, because they make it so comfortable and safe for them.

The staff at Torrey Pines Orthodontists are friendly, professional, and personable. The office is clean and state-of-the-art. If you are looking to have a beautiful smile done right the first time, this is the place to go. In my opinion you don't shop for a "bottom of the barrel bargain" when looking for a cosmetic dentist.

I have straight teeth! That's something I would never have been able to say if it wasn't for Torrey Pines Orthodontics! They are so kind and sweet here, and all they want to do is help you. I can't say thank you enough for what you did for me!

I won't go anywhere else. The very wonderful staff are very thorough and friendly. Every experience I have had there has been pleasant and painless. It's hard to believe I am talking about a dental office but they are that good! I would recommend Torrey Pines to everyone!

I am one of those that fears the dentist and as a result haven't gone for years. I went in and everyone was so easy going and helpful. They were friendly and didn't make me feel like scum for not having gone to the dentist for such a long time. WHEW! Now that the initial visit is over I can relax knowing I'm in good hands!

I didn't think I would ever see the day when my daughter threw a tantrum because she DIDN'T want to leave the Dentist office. That's how great this place is! They were great at explaining the whole process in a very kid friendly way. They have a T.V in the waiting room. Excellent experience all around and I'll be bringing my daughter back here for years to come.

My daughter goes here and she loves it! She was really scared to get braces, but they really made her feel comfortable and relaxed. The next two to three years should be a piece of cake!

Dr. Merz is great! I've been getting my Invisalign treatment at her office, and I've been really happy with the results. Her staff is very professional and extremely friendly. Also the office is very clean and the atmosphere welcoming. I went to Dr. Merz because a friend recommended me to her and I've been really happy with my decision. If you are thinking about getting Invisalign I highly recommend Torrey Pines.

Dr. Merz is an artist. I just got my braces removed and I couldn't be happier with the results. After visiting this office for over 2 years, I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for service. If you are thinking about getting some work done on your teeth by an orthodontist, I highly recommend Dr. Merz. You will get excellent service and excellent results! I absolutely LOVE my new (straight) teeth!!

I have been in treatment with Dr. Merz for almost a year. I am extremely satisfied with the treatment I am getting. Her staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The office is beautiful and advanced. I noticed that she works with a lot of adult patients. I highly recommend Dr. Merz to anyone who is interested in getting braces. But the reality is, we didn't need a great "marketer"... we needed a great Orthodontist - and Dr. Merz is just that. She is an outstanding Orthodontist who delivers phenomenal results.

Dr. Merz and her staff have had such an impact on our family. Dr Merz is prompt, professional, and excellent at her craft. A true artist. Also as a working parent, I appreciate the flexibility of how the office always works with my schedule as a lawyer. But most important my kids teeth (yes 2yrs) look amazing, the best investment ever. Dr. Merz is amazing. She is a consummate perfectionist. I just wish I had an orthodontist like Dr. Merz when I was a kid!!

I highly recommend Dr. Merz for orthodontics. She has treated both of my children as well as myself with Invisalign. Her office in the Carmel Valley area is wonderful and state of the art. Everything is digital and immediate. You don't have to go elsewhere for special x-rays or imaging. Dr. Merz is personable and attentive. She is very knowledgeable. I am very pleased with our results.
