Do your homework before signing a contract with TRS for furniture. Many of us have bad credit so we turn to the worst without even knowing what we are getting into. This company is actually a collection agency. If you call the Better Business Bureau and give the phone number for this company in San Antonio, TRS is listed as a collection agency.



$2000 furniture at Ashleys costs $6000 at the end of a two-year agreement.



Miss a few days on your payment and the calls begin. If you choose to ignore the phone calls, your references receive continuous phone calls. I made a verbal agreement with the manager at the store on IH10 West (number not listed here). The agreement was 90 days same as cash. The sofa and loveseat were handled as two separate transactions. I had already paid $1,100.00 and owed them $700.00 when I decided I could not meet the 90 day agreement. The manager at that time said the monies was split between both items. Charges continued accruing to the account. I have since paid $800.00 more and my balance is still $1400.



If you ask for a printout of your account, you would be surprised at the mumbo-jumbo that is given to you. I have been called names and have been threatened by these people.



I decided to stop payments to this place because someone at the company charged my bank account almost $300 without my authorization. I had to cancel the card so that they would not do this to me again; not to mention I do not want them to have my bank account number. The threat is they will have the constable come pick up your furniture. I called the constable's office. I found out they do this if it is taken to court AFTER the judge hears your side of the story. Yes, I will pay my account. But I feel everyone should know what they are up against with a place like this. I have done business with Aarons. They are the best and everything there is legitimate. Others may say something different, but as for me, Aaron's is the best route.
