        This historic hotel definitely has many up sides (location near the Alamo and Riverwalk shops and plaza attractions). My family stayed here during Spring Break 2011 and we were disappointed with many things: "Mandatory" valet for $18.50 per night, cold powdered eggs for breakfast, small rooms for the $165 per night price. It's partnership with The Menger Hotel across the street allows kids to swim in a heated pool during early spring. This is a fabulous choice during off-season travel, but the staff at the Crockett does not handle capacity season well at all. Slow valet retrieval (30 mins) and terrible breakfast setup and hours (0630-0930) contributed to my review. Bottom Line: a $200 per night stay but below-average service and accommodations.
