Founded in 1981, Northern Hills Elementary School serves more than 700 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school s academic curriculum includes art, English, math, science, social studies and language arts. Northern Hills Elementary School operates a library and media center that offers various resources, such as books, encyclopedias, newspapers and dictionaries. It has a cafeteria that serves lunch and breakfast. Northern Hills Elementary School also operates a parent-teacher association that sponsors various fundraising activities for school development. The school offers an extended day care program for elementary-grade students. Northern Hills Elementary School also provides a range of summer activities, such as arts and crafts, drama, computer applications and a variety of adventurous summer camp activities. Located in San Antonio, the school is a part of the North East Independent School District.
