1 star is to many!! PARENTS BEWARE. Do you know what you pay for when you send your child here?!?! You pay for Ruby Mendoza's new BMW.. You pay for your child to get beaten on and scratched up by other children because the 16 year old high school girls running these day cares have no idea what they're doing and are obviously not trained to handle kids. I am absolutely disgusted with this place and the woman who claims to run it.. My son and I found this place when it was under "New Management" and over the last two years I paid over 16 grand for child care including all of the random "supply fees" and "annual fees." Over the last 6 months this daycare has really gone down hill.. Almost every day my son would come home with a new scratch or bite that I would have to point out to the daycare staff, So I know they were not documented well if at all. We were trying to potty train, well I was, the daycare claimed to potty train him but for some reason he always came home in urine soaked clothing. They also on numerous occasions thought sending home the underwear my son had a BM in, In a bag!!! Come on !!!!!! They let him run around in another child's underwear and claimed he had no extra clothes and didn't know how to get ahold of me. Really!?! Because the owner and director had my direct cell number and work number. The communication is awful. I don't know how many times I had to address a situation and they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. 10/17/2016 was the last straw. My son was attacked by another child, all I could think upon finding out my child had been attacked in daycare was, "where are the teachers?" Funny thing is that I still haven't gotten that answer!!!!! I have yet to hear from this daycare as to how my child was attacked. I immediately removed my son from this daycare and demanded my money back for the month...In which Ruby Mendoza and her director BEGGED ME not to take my son out of her facility.. claiming, WE LOVE CJ, PLEASE DON'T DO THIS..WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO AS AN OWNER AND OPERATOR TO KEEP YOUR SON IN MY DAYCARE? Here's a thought Mrs Ruby, DO WHAT WE PAY YOU TO DO...Example, watch our kids, don't let them beat up on each other, don't send them home in urine soaked clothes or other children's underwear... Its not rocket science!!!! Anyways, I have already demanded my money back and she pretty told me by law she doesn't have to give me my money back and hangs up the phone. What a great way to conduct business Ruby!! You'll go real far with customer service like that!!!
Stray as far away from this place as possible. Ms Ruby and her staff do not care about our children and I have the photos to prove it.. Its sad when you pay and trust someone watch your children and you have to then turn around and file a complaint with the department of family and public safety.. Makes you wonder how long all of this crap was really going on.
I have a hard time believing these yellow page reviews because this place is awful. Head on over to google reviews and look at the pictures of my son and take your children elsewhere, you'll be SO HAPPY YOU DID. SERIOUSLY...

I hope Ruby Mendoza reads this, takes the 16k I paid over the last 2 years and gets her employees some proper training with it. That way when both of her locations get shut down these 16 year old girls can go find another babysitting job at a nice daycare. A daycare where they actually watch the children instead of writing them off as tax reductions.

I absolutely adore this daycare center, my son has been going to Lil Peas and Sprouts since he was 6 weeks old, we recently celebrated his 1st birthday and I truly feel that my son is part of their little family. I know I can count on the owner Mrs. Ruby, with any questions or issues that may arise at any time and my sons first teacher Mrs. Henrietta is an absolute saint! It's an awesome feeling when your child gets excited when you pull up to the daycare center. Being a first time mom it is an absolute joy knowing I can trust the people at this facility. We LOVE Lil Peas and Sprouts!!!

The center is kept clean however lack of communication between the director and 2 shifts of teachers is not good. Our grandsons went here for about 2 months and there was an incident where my grandson fell on the playground and was bleeding on his head and his entire face was scraped up and no one notified us. Then the next day I was told they called me on my cell and then they recanted saying it was their mistake and no call was made to me. This is not acceptable and by Texas state law they should have notified us (anything dealing with an injury to the head should be reported). There was a huge lack of communication and when we specifically asked to use pull ups for one child and diapers for the other they would always mix it up. We also had to ask that one of the teachers not kiss our child who constantly was sick while attending there.
