The instructor Ms. Torres was very personable and easy to understand. Made the experience very enjoyable. I really recommend taking the class with this particular instructor. Overall great experience. Staff was very positive and pleasant.

Provided by SuperpagesI always felt comfortable dropping my two daughters off here, the staff always greeted them by name and treated them with respect. Whenever I had questions about the teen driving laws they were always there with an answer. Great school!

Provided by SuperpagesI enrolled my son recently, he had a lot of work to do which made him realize driving is a "big deal". Now dad is not alone in this issue! New cars that were comfortable in the horrible heat was a plus. Lower priced than competitors, safe and professional looking location and helpful and considerate staff. I checked around other schools in person and am glad we went to First Gear. They were always either cleaning the classroom, cleaning the cars or helping students and parents. In no time instructors and staff new us by name and genuinely took an interest in my son's learning process. My son has been knid enough to correct me on my driving issues! Overall my family is safer! A good experience for all of us.
First off, the teachers here can't teach and they can hardly speak english. I know this is the south side, but c'mon you can do better because the last time I checked, this is the United States not Mexico. The classes are pointless and aren't taken seriously. It's too fast paced. They're rude to students when you go out driving. They cram too many people into one class. And they cram WAY too many people into their cars. Sometimes they even put four students into one car while practicing how to drive and that's not including the instructor. They have kids working in the front office and they don't even know what they're doing. The owner is VERY rude and needs an attitude check. He might seem nice at first, but once he has your money, he doesn't care about treating his customers well. Here's a tip to the owner, if you're not happy with your job then get a new one!
Trust me, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!
