Classified Parking System

I live across from the lot on Travis and Flores and we use to use it frequently. It clearly states $5 dollars,no free parking, or you will be booted. I'm no fool I pay the $5 cause it beats having to pay $100 dollars to remove boot. So I thought. We pay the $5 later when we go to leave there is a boot on our car. Needless to say we are furious. Call the number on sticker placed on my window. Attendant shows up. He doesn't deny that we paid. He proceeds to accuse of us of going in and out. We clearly state that we didn't and he insists we did cause he says he chalks all car tires parked on lot. I asked him to show me the chalk on my tire. He points at the pavement and says that the chalk came off when we left and that was his proof of us supposedly being in and out. I call the police cause thats what you do when your being robbed. The police officer was no help cause he said that its a civil matter and that I was on private property and that if I didn't pay the $100 dollars he had every right to tow my car. I had no other choice than to fall victim to this scam. I am not saying that Laz has any part of this scam. But they have trusted the company The Bootman. The way I figure these attendants must get a good cut out of that $100 for them to resort to this thievery. So I put a bulletin up in my building and more than a few people came forward and said the same thing happened to them. One even informed me to contact Councilwoman District #1 Mary Alice Cisneros. Apparently Norma Rivera and Albert Eng District Director are handling this situation. The # is 733-5056. I am goint to contact the better business bureau and advise any victims to do the same. I also advise Laz to get more credible and honest people to watch their lots. Cause giving someone chalk and the right to "chalk or not to chalk" leaves your customers to fall prey to some shady business. Leaving you with a bad name. I will never park at a lot that doesn't hand me proof that I parked properly and a receipt of payment. Its not worth $105.00 and being accused of stealing. Cause Bootman didn't just steal from me they insulted my integrity. I would have been better off at a meter. Cause if your time runs out the most that you will get is a $25 ticket. Not $105 !!!
