ABCD Pediatrics

We have been long time patients (16 years). Somewhere along the way, they became more interested in revenue and less about client experience and customer service. The elementary school called both parents because my daughter had a fever so that one of us would be able to come get my daughter from the nurses office. I got the message, called ABCD right away to get appt, left the office to pick her up. All during this time, my husband got the call from the school, he too left and was on the way to get her. By the time we connected via phone, (he works much closer than I to the school), he had already picked her up and was on the way to the closet urgent care since ABCD could not see her til later.
So.....I called ABCD and cancelled the appointment since the Urgent Care could get her seen right away. Well they charged me a $75.00 no show fee. (I refused to pay it for along time and they even tried taking me to collections for this...unbelievable!) I called and spoke to the Office Manager explaining the situation and she refused to not charge me the $75 no show fee EVEN though I called (yes it was within an hour) but what about the 16-years of us being EARLY, not seen on our SCHEDULED time, waiting in the waiting area.....we don't ask for a discount because we waited over 30-minutes from our "scheduled time."
The most disappointing thing about this all is we love and still do Dr Arnold, and she probably has no idea (they only tell her their side) of how the office treats and talks to clients. To any business owner out there, if someone sees you for 10+ year then all of the sudden stops, you should ask the client NOT YOUR STAFF, why that is. The girls loved Dr Arnold, we see her at church and this one bad apple ruins the entire experience and reputation of the clinic/practice....very sad!

If you go to ABCD pediatrics DO NOT SEE Dr. JOHNSON! Couldn't believe how she treated my two year old (who she wasn't even seeing. She was seeing my infant). My toddler was playing with the blinds that she was standing by so when he touched them they poked her. I told my son to please stop and she rudly replies "yes, please stop that". THEN before I left I was nursing my little one and my toddler was opening and slamming the door and I was telling him to stop but you know toddlers they keep doing it and I was nursing a frantic baby so couldn't do much. Well my toddler stopped after the 5th or 6th time and had not even touched the door for a couple minutes when I told him "Okay buddy open the door for mommy so we can go" and Dr. Johnson came walking up to go into the room right next to me and looked at my son and said again in a rude voice "please don't slam that door again". I wish you could hear the tone! Its nice to say please but how she said it was so RUDE and I just couldn't believe it. Your a doctor not my sons parent. I understand telling him nicely but the way she talked to him was as if she was annoyed each time. YOU'RE A PEDIATRICIAN you work with KIDS you should be PATIENT with them. I will never take any of my kids to go see this doctor again!

AWFUL!!
I just recently moved to Texas and needed to find a new doctor. So I was excited when they were able to get my daughter in so fast despite some of the reviews I read. I have worked in customer service for over 15 years, so I always try to give the company the benefit of doubt. One receptionist was so nice and the other was so rude. She was having a personal conversation with a patient at the desk. They were rude to me because I was waiting for the other receptionist to bring back my daughter’s paperwork. After that experience I found a new pediatrician, canceled my appointment, and emailed their HR department. Now I know why it was so easy to get an appointment!

Beware the bad reviews are true!

A big shout-out for the staff of ABCD Pediatrics and Dr. Schlossberg for their amazingly calm, collected and professional performance in the mist of the technological difficulties they had to face. My son has a stubborn ear infection for which I was able to get an appointment on the same day (already miracle:-), was seen sharp on time and out in 20 minutes with prescription and a peace of mind. No rush or panic, everybody was acting like switching back to paper charts without access to computers is no big deal...but us who work in similar environment we know better...they deserve all the credit for their outstanding performance.

I will NEVER visit this pediatric office again! After driving for almost an hour and stuck in traffic, I called the office and told them I would be around 10 minutes late for our appointment. The lady on the phone said it was fine. However, when I got there they refused to see my son. The office manager was extremely rude. She had an ingenuine apology, which she could have saved for someone else. I do not recommend this office to anyone, and will be looking for a new pediatrician.

Let me start off by saying that I love the doctor we were using here. We transferred to San Antonio two months ago. My youngest started seeing Dr Getta. I had both of my children's medical records sent over to ABCD Pediatrics office even though my youngest wasn't gonna be seen until a few months later. When I went to make an appointment for him everything was going fine until she asked what he was gonna be seen for. I stated he needed ADHD meds. Well then the lady rudely said oh well we aren't seeing any new patients. I said even though his sister go's here and you already have his medical records and a file on him you aren't gonna see him? That's correct mam was her response. So needless to say they were fine with making him an appointment until they found out he had ADHD. Im sure you won't have a problem here if you have a NORMAL child. But I wouldn't recommend them for anyone with a special needs child.

This pediatrics practice and their staff are awesome!!!! They have recently added 2 new doctors and they picked good ones! Dr. Johnson is the one I saw with my little boy. She was so sweet and knowledgable. I could tell she knew her business. My son has asthma and was wheezing. She took the time and listened to me and explained what to do at home so that we would not end up at the ER of in the hospital. Then she explained that they have triage nurse that could walk me through the process if I got home and was having a hard time doing it. This is the kind of doctors my family needs!

Dr. Schlosberg is great! Love him and he always takes the time to answer your questions. We moved to Schertz and have had incredible experiences with all the doctors at the Schertz office. I am a new mom and have called 3 times to set up last minute appointments and they have always gotten us in within a couple of hours. Wonderful!
