Valley Behavioral Health

Valley Mental Health in my experience treats their clients horribly. In my experience the staff is rude and acts as if it is a bother to do their jobs. The staff is not sensitive to the issues their business is supposed to be helping people with. One time I was given an appointment slip with the wrong date on it so I showed up at the wrong time. It was the receptionists fault that she gave me the wrong information. I was punished and had to sit in the waiting room for 5 hours in order to reschedule my appointment. they sad I should be more responsible. I felt like a child being given a time out. I had to waste my whole day waiting to make an appointment when I did show up at the time I was given. Also I had been in therapy for almost a full year and my therapist was more concerned about my finances then my mental health. I was given some assistance and she was offended that I was receiving assistance and tried to have me kicked off the program that had actually taken me off the streets. She also lied to me on several occasions. I think valley mental health is a farce. I think people in this type of industry should be patient and kind and understanding and want to help people. I don't find that with this agency at all. I wish they did not have a monopoly in this state.
