        The Department of Public Services-Fleet Management works under the city of Salt Lake City. It works to provide safe, economical and environmentally friendly transportation services to the department s employees, while allowing them to perform their official duties. The division maintains a service facility that provides customer service, repair and administrative support. The Fleet Management Division also investigates and implements alternative fuel options. It operates more than 50 vehicle repair bays in over 115,000-square-foot floor space that include a vehicle and equipment shop, parts warehouse, fleet administration offices and 24-hour fueling facilities. The division has a fleet of over 2,300 vehicles and equipment that is comprised of nearly 780 pieces of heavy equipment and approximately 1,500 vehicles. The Fleet Management Division employs more than 40 full-time staff members.
