Childbirth classes are comprised of information and techniques gathered throughout a decade of experience providing support for women in labor, various childbirth techniques, and my background and education in nursing. We cover physiology of pregnancy and birth, nutrition, exercise, obstetric options, interventions and birth plans, pain management, stress reduction, care of the newborn and the new family, including car seat safety.As a Doula I am dedicated to the support and advocacy of the family. In addition to my years of experience and education I bring many tools, and "tricks of the trade". I work alongside partners not in place of them.I also provide dedicated sibling support if you choose to have older children present at the birth.Our placenta encapsulation services include pick-up and drop-off of the placenta. We provide a rental cooler with ice pack for your use to ensure safe handling before pick-up.We use the Traditional Chinese Medicine Method. Safety and cleanliness is our top concern, ask to see our current Food Handler's Permit from the Salt Lake Valley Health Department. Services performed by a Licensed Registered Nurse certified in CPR for Health Professionals, Neonatal Resuscitation, Food Handler's Safety Card, and Placenta Encapsulation.
