Black Granite Installations

Save your self the grief that I've experienced since having Black Granite install my granite counter-tops.

Black Granite installed my counter-tops in the fall of 2012. Shortly after the installation took place I noticed a crack in the narrow piece in-front of my sink. The crack(not a seam) was very much a surprise to me and was very upsetting. Upon closer inspection, I learned that the crack was filled with epoxy. Regardless of the fact that the epoxy didn't do it's job, the fact that they hid the crack from me is what is most upsetting.

Now after months trying to come to a resolution I'm told that they aren't responsible for the crack (despite the fact that the crack occurred upon installation and their attempt to hide it from me was a failure).

This is a poorly operated company that uses inexperienced amateurs

Think twice before hiring them to do your granite install!!!!

My wife and I chose to use black granite because of local friend recommended them. After our experience none of us will ever recommend them again. We were told 2 days before install that they misquoted us 2k dollars. They told us they quoted us for quartz not granite but I have a quote Steve sent us that clearly shows granite. My wife and I also told them from the beginning we didnt want quartz only granite. Anyways we ended up going to another local granite shop called bedrock they gave us the exact same granite we were suppose to get with black granite for $1500 less the black granite tried to charge us and they guarantee to have it installed within 10 days. Black granite put us in a crappy situation and wouldnt help us or work with price at all even though it was there fault. They also cost me a lot of money because we now had to reschedule the backsplash install and appliances. I personally would never recommend working with these guys. They dont stand by there word and they could careless. Best of luck

Most new construction home experiences result in choosing granite from a tiny sample from the cabinet company and receiving advice from a salesperson with minimal experience with granite.
