I've had enough!

I was a patient of Dr. Beards for many years, then a patient of Dr. Laine. I used to really feel good knowing that I was well taken care. No more. Their book-keeping dept. is incredibly rude. I have had yearly physicals and my 2 insurances have always paid. This time I was billed and when I called I was told I didn't use the right words when I called and asked for a yearly physical. So now I am paying for the entire bill. And worse yet, when I went in Dr. Laine's physican assistant saw me and told me repeatedly I should not be there because I was too old. Her first words to me were: "You are 74. Why are you here? You are 74. Why are you here? You should not be here." I was told not to come back unless there is some emergency. You can bet I will not be going back. I would warn any of you who may be using medicare that they are 'getting rid of us' without refusing medicare. They are just charging us for the entire bill and telling us we didn't use the right words. I am now looking for a new place to go and that is hard when I loved Dr. Beard. This place is dishonest and rude. Once you get on mediicare - you are on your own. Good luck!

I went in for my annual pap. While waking back from leaving a urine sample, the nurse was in the hallway, bemoaning loudly about having to laugh at patient's "retarded" humor. The NP I saw made several passive aggressive comments about a treatment plan I'm on with another doctor but failed to offer an alternative. Instead, she seemed to think it want even a legitimate condition. It's been over a month and I haven't received the results from my pap. I just spent 20 minutes on holds trying to get through to the office who weren't even able to look me up and see which doctor they assigned me to since I never actually saw a doctor. I will not be returning to this office and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Extremely unprofessional.
