Advanced Veterinary Care

Worst vet I’ve ever experienced. They told us to come down and they would get us right in. We arrived ten minutes later and they informed us that it would be two hours! We opted to stay and wait. There were two pets with no apparent emergency admitted before us. After waiting two hours and being the last people in the waiting area, we were informed that it would be another FIVE hours. I’m not making this up or embellishing. The front people were very rough looking and extremely rude. We left and drove to Blue Pearl. Completely different, better experience. Please don’t waste your time at AVC!!! Literally the worst experience I’ve had at any business in 47 years of life on this planet.

The entire staff at AVC is amazing. Unfortunately our little girl, Renegade, was too Ill and passed away but the doctors and staff did everything possible to try and save her. We stayed at the clinic day and night for 4 days and the staff always made sure to keep us updated on her progress and let us visit with her while she was in intensive care. I loved the transparency and the fact that we could go see her anytime we asked. It was obvious that she had made an impression on everyone there. They allowed us to spend several hours alone with her once she passed and let us take the time we needed to mourn. They were sensitive to our needs when completing the final arrangements and sent us a beautiful planter the day after her passing. Special thanks to Dr. Ravi and Becca and all those that treated our baby while she was there.

This place was great! My dog cut his Achilles tendon and Dr Paul Morgan did an awsome job getting him fixed! He was very helpful with taking the time to really sit down with me and explain to me my options what what I should expect. My dog was a a 1 year old Belgian Malinois that is used for search and rescue. I can't say enough about how well him and his assistance were with everything. This place is a little expensive but you are paying for exactly what you get, a true vet surgeon. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thanks guys!

Honestly they made me make the worst choice but the best choice for my pet. They could have keep me paying money but they chose to do the right thing and tell me straight up my old man was just suffering and he wouldn't get over this latest seizure. Very sad but I respect a vet that is honest and makes it about the beautiful pets in our lives and not our need to have them to comfort us. Wellington has gone over the rainbow bridge.

Updated review...I did a review a couple of days ago about the doctor refusing to talk on the phone to me before making an appointment. After finding that there weren't many options out there for board certified veterinary surgeons I decided to take my cat there after all. Well it was a waste of time. The doctor told me within about 30 seconds with barely laying hands on my cat that because of the location of the tumor and the age of the cat he wouldn't recommend doing anything. He couldn't have given me that information on the phone before I dragged my sick cat through a 2 hour car ride? Better yet he couldn't have told that to my regular veterinarian when he reach out and tried consulting with him? With the advice he gave me today the information that my veterinarian had already sent him was enough. He didn't need to see my cat. Was it all about getting the $119 office fee? All I know at this point is I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Didn't even make it as far as making the first appointment. My regular veterinarian had referred me. Before dragging my two toddlers and sick cat an hour to SLC I called and asked to talk to the doctor. Being that he had already received some information from my veterinarian about my cat I just wanted to ask a couple of questions. Basically to try to see if if was worth dragging my poor cat through this. I just wanted to know if he thought there was something he could accomplish or if it was most likely a lost cause. Well the doctor wouldn't even give me a call back to tell me if he thought he could help my cat with the tumor growing on his face. All I wanted was five minutes of his time to help me decide what my next move should be. I didn't feel like there WA much compassion from this place after this. Now looking for another place to take my cat.

I have been to AVC for an emergency with my dog. They were very professional. They were upfront with what the charges would be. I had the decision to stop treatment at any time. They did a great job on my dog. They saved his life. They went above and beyond to help him. Highly recommend them!!

I would trust anyone at this facility. Most people who say it is all about the money are wrong. I have established very good relationships with the staff and know that they are not about the money. Medical expenses aren't free and if you don't have any money to take care of your pet in case of an emergency, then don't have an animal. It isn't the staff's fault that you are irresponsible and can't afford a pet. Pets are like family and you should put money aside for emergencies just like you would for you or your children.

A staff full of knowledge and compassion! A facility that takes pride in being as compassionate and caring as possible. I would never take my pet elsewhere! I have multiple dogs that have a list of medical problems and I know that because of the care I receive here that they are all still living full happy lives! Thank you AVC!!!!

Professional & dedicated doctors and staff. Our wire fox terrier came to them with problems only they could diagnose with their state of the art equipment and highly educated staff. Surgery was the treatment of choice, and he lived a very happy & productive 4+ more years. Prior to the surgery, they disclosed costs, options and choices. They cannot guarantee the outcome in all cases. I would and do recommend them to everyone for quality, professional and compassionate care. We will always consider them the best in the business, and are forever grateful that we found them. Keep up the good work AVC!!!

THIS PLACE CARES NOTHING ABOUT YOUR PET ITS ALL ABOUT THR MONEY! IF YOUR PET WASNT DYING OR CLOSE TO IT IT WIL BE IF YOU TAKE IT HERE. THEY ARE LIARS HEARTLESS AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THINGS THEY DID NOT DO AND YOU WONT SEE XRAYS OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER.. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. IT WOULD TAKE TO LONG TO TELL YOU WHAT THEY PUT US AND OUR DOG THROUGH LETS JUST SAY THESE POEPLE THIS PLAXE IS SICK AND WRONG AND NO PET SHOULD BE SUJECTED TO THIS PLACE.

If you want to spend lots of money ($5000) and have a dead cat, this is the place for you!

If you would like to have an elusive carrot dangled in front of your face with no real hope in sight, please go here.

Even if you have half of what is needed up front for the life of your animal....you will be turned away and the only option for your suffering pet in DEATH...and they will still collect quite a bit of money while putting your loved fur baby to sleep.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE IN A REAL EMERGENCY!!!

Unless you have a real emergency, and can few thousand up front, don't even bother. And if your pet dies because you're poor, sucks to be you. They won't care.



Because they are all about the money. Expect a hefty bill, and they won't even discuss a payment plan. Not only did they tell me they had cleared my cat's blockage (they hadn't), they charged me $400 for NO RESULT. My cat came home in the same condition as when I took him in. Uncaring, and a complete lack of compassion. If you don't have thousands of dollars to spend, you have wasted your time.



When I called to tell them that my cat was no better, just a few hours after they had discharged him and told me he was fine, the tech was completely uncaring. God forbid she should have had me bring him back to actually do the work they claimed they had done, and not charge me again. Instead, she went out of her way to point out that, because I was unable to pay them in one lump sum, up front, it was my fault.



The whole point of paying the emergency fee is to get help NOW. They did not do that. My cat is still in pain. He is still blocked. He went in blocked, and he came out blocked. They did not help him AT ALL. Since I don't have the $2,000 they want to charge me for keeping him in the hospital for 2 days, I have to wait until tomorrow to take him to my regular vet, AND I am still out $400 I can't afford, which I could have used to have him treated by a vet who cares more about animals than money.



Utterly disgusted. Avoid this clinic if you have any other option.

MY BEST FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THIS PLACE MY SISTER, WE HAD TO TAKE HER CAT IF 18 YEARS WHOM WAS IN KIDNEY FAILURE WE WERE TREATED WITH THE UPMOST INTELLIGENCE AND COURTSEY EVERY SINGLE TIME WE WENT THERE BY EVERYONE.



I HAD TO TAKE MY CAT THERE TONIGHT. AGAIN, EVERYONE WE CAME IN CONTACT WITH FROM THE FRONT DESK, TO THE TECH (ALICE), INCLUDING THE DOCTOR (DR KRAMMER) WERE VERY NICE TO US AND OUR PET.

WE WERE TREATED WITH THE UPMOST RESPECT, THEY WERE ALL VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, INFORMATIVE, HONEST AND, MY PET WAS HANDLED WITH SO MUCH CARE, MY HUSBAND AND I WERE BOTH RELIEVED AFTER OUR VISIT THERE I ALSO WANT TO SAY THAT I WAIT SO MUCH LONGER AT MY REGULAR VETS OFFICE EVERYTIME I GO THERE JUST TO GET MY PET A SHOT. THESE PEOPLE AT AVC HAD US SEATED IN A ROOM 2 MINUTES AFTER WE FILLED OUT THE NEW PATIENT PAPERS, AND WE SEEN THE TECH 2 MINUTES AFTER THAT FOLLOWED BY THE DOCTOR UNBELIVEABLE SERVICE AND THEN TO TOP IT OFF THE PRICE WAS EXTREMELY REASONABLE.... I WOULD RECOMMEND AVC TO EVERYONE WITH A PET EMERGENCY

The Vet and Technicians at this facility are very caring and nurturing towards the animals they treat. I had a sick cat that I brought in and they took care of him and disclosed all costs up front before proceeding with treatment. They also went over all of the potential options on what could be wrong with the cat, and what the costs would be to find out.



I felt very comfortable with leaving my cat with them and they were very concerned with the cat's needs and my needs.
