Allison Transmission

After taking my car to the "shade tree mechanic" I had to take it to Allison. I always worried being a single lady that I would be over charged. But Allison's found what was wrong (taking it to the shade tree mechanic!) and fixed my problem! They treated me with respect and did an excellent job. When I parked my 2004 Buick Ranier at home last night the transmission went into reverse instead of park. In the morning I was unable to start the car or shift the lever into park. After researching the problem I found out that this is a common problem with Trailblazers and Ranier's, apparently there is a plastic grommet in the transmission linkage that breaks and prevents you from moving the shift lever. I got the car to Dan at Allison's and he was aware of this problem, one of his staff gave me a ride back to my home and about 2 hours later he called to tell me my car was ready to pick up. I know there are many places you can go to get this repair done but how many do you think would charge you NOTHING. Needless to say I will be using this shop for my future car repairs. The shop is honest and Dan appears very friendly and helpful to his customers, they get my recommendation.

Very honest business! We took our Honda Accord to AAMCO to assess and they told us we needed a transmission overhaul at $1,800. We then took it to Allison to get a second opinion, and Dan identified the problem and told us it was NOT the transmission, but something to do with the EGR. Dan then called the mechanics shop where we had the EGR work done and explained what the issue was. He went above and beyond. Again, it's hard to find honest mechanics out there (especially transmission) and Dan and Allison are the TOPS!

Great place! Really friendly, knowledgeable and fair. Came in with a broken speed sensor and they agreed to put it in for me for free. Great guys! Will come back if I have a bigger problem for sure.

They are the very best! Allison's employees fixed my van (which had been deemed unfixable by the previous mechanic who broke it). They completed the work with in one hour and gave me a ride home while they were working on it. They are just so nice. Allisons is 100% !! Trust Trust Trust. Linda Z

I read the first review online here and went to see the owner Dan. My first impression of this business owner was that he was professional, friendly, courteous and most important, very knowledgeable. His staff conducted a free diagnostic test on a Friday and they took it in the following Monday. He stated the problem, price, and how long it would take for the rebuilding of my transmission. As promised I had it back on Wednesday. Overall, the staff, shop, and service was outstanding. The owner Dan goes the extra mile to see everything is 100 percent ready and he also made the repair bill very affordable. The repair also includes a 2 yr 24,000 mile warranty. Finally, Allison Transmission exceeded my expectations and I was totally impressed. I received excellent customer service.

I want you all to know if you need transmission work Dan is the person you want to work on your transmission. This shop accepted a transmission that was completely taken apart by another transmission shop in Seminole. The shop on Seminole Blvd wanted to charge me $3200.00 to fix a simple issue. I didn't agree and with the cost, so that late Friday afternoon I called Dan as well as 2 other shops and they all agreed that the code the SUV had would cost half of what the shop on Seminole Blvd was charging me. Somehow I chose Allison Transmission and I have to say I definately made a excellent choice. The Seminole shop took my whole transmission apart for absolutely no reason. I'll tell you Dan and his crew really know what they are doing. All being said the final cost was $1730.89. The electronic modular curcuit board alone cost $1200.00..After this great experience with this shop that same afternoon I picked up my SUV, I trailer over my 91 Corvette for transmission work.
