We had Mosby Building Arts do several projects in our home this spring - a new bathroom; a new main plumbing stack; a new & leveled kitchen/family room floor; and a newly framed/drywalled kitchen ceiling after we had the two skylights removed. We could not be more pleased with all of the results. The new bathroom is totally beautiful, and is proof of Mosby's pride in their workmanship and attention to detail. Mosby is the most professional, quality-driven, and friendly company that we have ever worked with. I thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone on our team, beginning with Denny and Julie in the planning process, and then with John and Michael during the construction phases. Their customer service is also A - #1. For instance, a couple of minor things came up after the bathroom construction, and Michael was over at our house within minutes after I sent an email, re-arranging his schedule for me, and doing so with a smile. We will definitely use Mosby for our future home projects!
It was a real pleasure to help to you again. Your trust in us means a lot. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else. Sincerely, Mosby Building Arts

I used Mosby to install a new bay window and paint the first floor of my home. They were very professional and the craftsmanship was superior. My house was kept clean during the whole process. I'd highly recommend to my friends and family.

Mosby installed quarter round in 3/4 of my home. One carpenter started and completed the job in one day, and I only knew he'd been there because the quarter round was there in the evening when it wasn't in the morning. Meaning, he was so clean and meticulous that he left no trace other than doing a fabulous job. It felt like someone waved a magic wand and - poof - it was done!!

I spoke with a representative at Mosby today. I asked for a quote on a defined project and was told they could not provide a price until I paid $325 for a consultation. I was amazed. I was further amazed when I saw all of these negative reviews.
I've done a lot of home improvement projects in my life - it's an exceptionally sleazy business filled with opportunists. Never begin a project without multiple quotes and avoid situations where you feel obligated to execute a project with a vendor.
- Avoid relatives
- Avoid offers which require an immediate decision - like "if you sign today, I'll give you 10% off"
- Avoid contractors who require up front fees - like Mosby

I have had hardwood floors for 5 years no issues. They fixed a warp section of my hardwood floors, after my refrigerator leaked. They re-sanded my floors and put down polyurethane. Three times they had to come back because of bubbles on the floor. Less than a year later major scratches and spaces in the boards of the floor. I had a warranty but when they came to look at my floor they agreed that it had scratches and spaces. They told me to keep the dog off the floor, (I gate her out), and they said the temperature and humidity in my house caused the spaces in the boards. So many excuses. Then they told me they recommend to their clients not to have hardwood floors in their kitchen. This meant in so many words, they were not going to do anything. He left and said, "Hope I didn't waste your time". Would never use or recommend.
I am very pleased with Mosby, they came and refinished my hardwood floors.
I was contacted by Tyler from Mosby in regards to the issues with my floors. He came out and took a look at my kitchen floor and agreed that there were scratches and spaces in the boards. He said Mosby would take care of fixing the hardwood floors. Tyler had a crew come out to refinish my floors and this week it was completed. They look great. Tyler was very courteous and easy to work with. I am very please with Mosby.. Thank you so much Tyler.

A $325.00 non-refundable fee to give you an estimate is criminal.
What happens if I get a better bid:
Mosby guys have a great night out on you.
On the radio he sounds warm, intelligent and honest.
Save your $325.00 for the family college fund.
I went with A & M roofing.
They did a great job, at an honest price.
We appreciate this person’s comments. Mosby Building Arts provides professional consultation services for $325, and we try clearly to identify that our service is not an estimate, but a Consultation. This Consultation is designed to focus on giving homeowners honest and accurate information and not to focus on “selling” the homeowner. If the homeowner chooses Mosby to do the work, the Consultation fee is credited toward services of $3,000 or more. We are happy this person found a good fit for their needs.
