        Eastside Eye Physicians maintains a staff of board-certified ophthalmologists that offers a variety of eye care services through medical, surgical and optical techniques. It is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Michigan State Medical Society and American Academy of Ophthalmology. The center offers cataract surgery, topography and visual field testing services. It also offers more than 1,200 eyeglass frames from various brands, such as Tommy Bahama, Sigrid Olsen, Nike, Jones New York, Jill Stuart and Revlon. In addition, the center performs LASIK, which is a type of refractive laser eye surgery for correcting myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Eastside Eye Physicians has been operational for more than 50 years and maintains a location in St. Clair Shores, Mich.

        Overall

        I had cataract surgery and i cant tell how pleased I was with the outcome. The surgery was fast and recovery went very well. I would recommend Dr. Joel Pelavin for any eye care, he has been taking care of my husband and I for about ten years, he is a great eye Docter

        Shelby office. Very small and poor selection for frames. A doctor does not perform your vision exam for glasses , it's a technician. Only saw the doctor for about 2 minutes and the dr didn't talk to me about anything. I personally need more Doctor interaction.

        Bad first impression with this office. I walk in and say hi at the front desk, no reply. I found the redhead in reception to be snotty. She was trying to find my pharmacy and I told her it was at 11 Mile and Gratiot. She replied, "I have no idea, I don't live around here"... Really!?

        She didn't offer me a receipt for my co-pay after stating, "I'll collect your co-pay now".

        I was at the appointment, mostly waiting in reception, for an hour and fifteen minutes.

        Serious need for a course in professionalism and patient care/satisfaction.

        Dr. K was nice enough and I was satisfied with my treatment. Staff was far below average.
