WGV Gymnastics

Awful! The owner allows the booster club to run the gym. Customer service is therefore whatever benefits the club and not the gym. A few of the coaches are simply amazing, but a few are quite simply, well not even a coach. One was even a team coach who could only coach two events, because she was not qualified to coach above a certain level. ***** UPDATE ***** The team coach referred to above has since been fired/quit. The fact still remains when I raised issues my daughter was having with that coach (she was not the only gymnast who had these issues two other gymnasts had issues and left the gym prior to us leaving), our issues fell on deaf ears with the owner despite previous complaints from other parents INCLUDING another team coach.

I have three children. All of my children have taken classes here and enjoyed it very much. Great family atmosphere. I would recommend them to anyone.

Owner and instructors are very caring and interested in the students. The facility has very qualified coaches of all ages to accommodate the students. I would recommend WGV to any student. The facility is surrounded by other family friendly businesses such as baseball, karate, dance, crossfit, and personal training and instruction. There is fun for everyone.

This place is awful, dirty, unprofessional, and run by teenagers who aren't even qualified to be instructors . I enrolled my son(10) and my daughter (7) for the "gymnastic class". Soon my son realized on his own, he wasn't getting any real education after his teen instructor showed up 15 mnts late every time so my son had to just bounce around with little girls until the "coach" finally arrived.Upset and disappointed he quit. After I saw, some extremely talented and way more advanced girls attend the same class as beginners, I asked what their criteria was for advancing to a higher level and I did not get a straight answer, only a "depends on the teacher". I gave the place 3 months before I approached the front desk with a comment about my concerns :

-The bathrooms were filthy , the floors were covered in soiled tissue, dirty floor w feces and urine everywhere.

- The "front desk" area is dirty, covered with clutter of dirty dishes, shoes, back packs and no responsible adult to watch the place (only teenage girls chatting with their feet on the desk) , take payments or answer questions until 4:15 ish.. apparently not set hours for any of the staff members to arrive.

- Vending machines nonoperational, broken chairs (ripped covers and dirty)

- Leaky roofs.

- No feed back whatsoever on your kids performance, so if your kid is talented and has a dream of becoming an Olympian, WGV is not a real Gym.period.

My daughter's first instructor rolled her eyes at the students, made rude comments about the students within ear shot of other students and parents. She also began class late every morning and took frequent bathroom breaks during class. She never demonstrated technique and appeared to have minimal skills and talent teaching younger girls. We addressed our concerns with the person at the front desk. She left a message with the owner and moved my daughter to the Wednesday class. My daughter attended the class. There were approximately 15-16 girls to the one instructor. Another student had an accident on the floor and no one cleaned it up. My daughter stepped in the urine. The teacher told my daughter to go into the bathroom to wash her foot and when my daughter returned the urine was still on the floor and the mats were never cleaned throughout the class. I had just paid for the month of January on that day and we never returned. This school is just not an acceptable place for children to learn gymnastics.
