Borrillo's Pizzeria and Beer & Wine Garden

Went in to get a salad waitress very rude. Hungry Howie's much better for customer service and cleanliness.

For several years now, our family goes to St. Augustine, FL once a year and, every year, we make it a point to drive 25 miles from our resort to go eat at Borillo's. The food and service has always been excellent until our visit on yesterday. We had a party of 12 and, 4 of us got there 15 minutes later than the rest of the party because we got a little turned around on the trip there. When we arrived there, the rest of our family had already ordered and was seated and waiting for their food. When we went to the counter to order, the young lady working there told us she could not serve us because they close at 8:30. It was 8:10 at that time. When we told her we were with the party that was already there wating for their food, she told us the best she could do is give us our pizza to go. Additionally, I wanted an Italian salad as I look forward to eating them every year. She said they were out of salad, maybe they were however; the rest of my family were eating salads. Of course, when she brought our pizza in a to go box, we sat and ate with the rest of our family anyway. The people working behind the counter were drinking beer on the job and, the cook was dressed very sloppy as his clothes were hanging off of him showing his buttocks. Also, excluding 4 of us, everyone had diarreah most of the night. Needless to say, we called to talk to the manager/owner as I am sure they would feel this kind of service is unexceptable and would want to be aware of our experience. When we called, we found that the owner was out of town and the manager was not there. I guess that explains it all. I just do not know if we will be going back to Borillo's. We are all very dissapointed in the service we recieved last night. :(

this nice small family friendly restaurant is the best in town for pizza and cal-zones. it does have a rather small sit down area and being downtown sometimes there isn't a free table, but the park across the street is a great place to picnic too. It is the best pizza in town !
