A A Foreign Car Repair

I recently purchased a BMW that had idling issues from day one. On 3 occasions the dealer put parts on the car without really fixing it. $1,800 later, the car ran the same. I took it to 3 other mechanics, the claimed repairs stemmed from $800-3,500



I began researching expert mechanics, read all the reviews, and only AA Foreign Car Repair stood out from the rest.



I drop the car off at 8:30 AM. At 11 he calls me and tells me I can come pick the car up at 12pm. I pay the $333 bill and begin driving. Within 2 minutes I could tell the car was perfect! Problem? One little gasket that no one else suspected. I think about the time and money I poured into repairs, never to have the problem fixed. Now within 24 hours of meeting Tim, my car is FINALLY fixed.



Tim could have charged me more, but didn't. He did however capture my loyalty so as no other garage will ever work on my BMW.

I had an emergency with my car and being pretty new to the St. Augustine area I took a chance on a a foreign car repair and Tim was very knowledgeable and very quickly fixed my car I really appreciated his honesty and straightforwardness and I feel like he did a good job without taking advantage of me thanks again so much will be back!

I am not easily impressed, but Tim at AA Foreign Car Repair managed to do that and then some. These days, it's very difficult to find people who are competent and truly knowledgeable. It's even more difficult to find businesses that are ethical and fair in their pricing. Last but not least, it's almost impossible to find businesses that really care about the well-being of their customers. But AA scores a perfect 10 in all three categories, something I was beginning to think did not exist anymore. Thanks guys, and you will be seeing me for all my service and repair needs from now on!

My only problem with AA Foreign Car Repair is that I didn't discover them sooner. I have been a taking my 2001 Audi TT there for about three years. They not only have kept it running beautifully but they have alerted me to potential problems or worn out parts due to the age of the car. The also warned me when old tires were dangerous (nothing in it for them as I went to a tire dealer). They care about both my car and my safety. Imam so grateful to them!

I've been taking my ancient Volvo to AA for 10 years and I have never met mechanics - or individuals, for that matter - with this kind of honesty and integrity. They have kept my old wagon running well, even with 210,000 miles on it ! When major problems arise, they are precise in their analysis and lay out my options clearly. Their skills have saved me money and aggravation over the years. I never doubt that they have my best interest at heart. They don't take any B.S. and they will not dispense it, either. Whether you bring in a Mercedes or a Toyota, you will get the same professional service and consideration.

I would steer clear of this place. I took my Porsche here to ask a few simple questions. The owner said he would not perform a leak down test because they were not reliable. OK - alarm 1. Other than that test I had a ton of work to be performed but I was supplying my own oil, filter, etc. The owner said no - he would not work on the vehicle if I supplied my own parts. No problem. He just lost $1-3K of work. Will go to proper folks in JAX.

I thought my clutch was out because it seemed as though that was the problem. I know nothing about cars and am a 20 year old college student. I called first for a price estimate for a new clutch and he was very prompt about contacting me back with the information I requested. When I dropped off my car I told him my clutch needed to be replaced and I was looking at spending over 800 dollars. He called the next day and told me my clutch was fine and that it was a hose, which connected to the clutch, that needed to be replaced. He very easily could have ripped me off and told me it was the clutch since that was what I believed in the first place. My car was fixed the next day and I ended up spending only 192 dollars. I praise his honesty and thank him very much for not taking advantage of a young girl like many places would have. Thank you again!

My 97 BMW 528i went into S-2 mode while driving in bad rain. For two months it continued and the car drove funny. I took it to Jerrys where they told me I needed a torch converter, took it to Amco where they said I needed a new transmission. Finally I went here, AA foreign auto and the owner recomended for me to let the car sit because he thought it sounded like the neutral safety switch got too wet from the rain. I did exactly that and the car has been fine ever since. Thank you Foreign Auto Repair.

I brought my Mecedes CLK 55 AMG in to Tim and was unbelievably impressed with his work. Not only was he up front and honest about the work that needed to be repaired, he was very reasonable on his prices. Upon picking my car up (which was done extremely fast as well for needing a new radiator, pulley, and belt), I examined the work that was done to the car and was very pleased. Tim and his crew even cleaned up the engine bay to make it look brand new! Excellent people. Friendly and reliable. Highly recommend!

Tim and his brother were recommended to me when I first got my BMW 2 years ago, and now I will never take my car anywhere else. (We also take our Toyotas there too.) They really know what they're doing, are extremely professional, and I always feel they are giving me the fairest price possible. They are extremely honest and trustworthy, and its very refreshhing to be able to entrust my car to them and not worry about being taken advantage of, or paying for anything I don't really need. They are proud of the work they do -- and they should be -- it is always first rate. If you have one of the cars they work on, don't waste time or money going to anyone else!

Wow, I have not had treatment like this in years, PROFESSIONAL, Clean, Respectful; explained in detail, what they were going to do, and in what time frame it was going to happen. Called me when he said he would with detailed explanation of what the problem was and how they fixed it. No one else will work on my cars.

I am an owner of an older model Volvo, and prior to finding Tim's shop, had struggled to find a competent mechanic. I came to Tim's shop about a year and a half ago with my good machine on a flat bed. I have been a happy customer with a good running machine ever since. AA Foreign Car Repair has everything I look for in a mechanic. They: 1)know their cars, 2)are honest, 3)have fair pricing, 4)listen to my descriptions, 5)explain clearly their work, and 6)recommend another resource if needed. If I hear of someone in need I recommend Tim's shop with confidence.

We moved to St Augustine 3 years ago and over that time have tried 3 other mechanics in the area. One experience cost us $2000.00 in additional repairs due to that mechanics negligence. I drive a 2002 BMW M5 that has been serviced at AA Foreign Car for over 5 years now. I know several mechanics in the area and all of them said - for your BMW, AA is where you need to go. I have the highest of standards when it comes to customer service and the quality of work performed on my car. Let me tell you that Tim and Jon know their stuff and have met expectations in every way. These guys are brutally honest, fair, fast, and they stand behind their work! They get it done correctly the first time and only perform the work that is required - no extra add-ons like the dealers always try. If your car does not need it, they do not recommend it. So if you want your car fixed correctly the first time, then look no further than AA Foreign Car Repair!! They just deliver!!

Having a Mercedes is great, they are truly the best cars on the road. The problem you run into is the fact that Mercedes knows they are the best and charges a premium for everything!



Having an S55 is wonderful, however the service I have gotten from the dealerships in Florida has been truly pitiful. From Jacksonville to Daytona to Orlando to Tampa they have all been just plain pathetic. I have been taken advantage of time and time again on price and service.



I have been lucky enough to find AA Foreign Car here in St. Augustine, my home town. Tim and his crew have given me excellent service and have broken the bad news to me time and time again and whether they do or not, they actually seem to feel my pain when I see what the parts and labor charge is going to be this time around :-).



Dealerships are expensive with no quality of service. AA Foreign Car actually wants you to come back and continue to do business with them. Their pricing is very reasonable for a Mercedes anyway! The service is quick and always spot on with no "fluff" added in.



If you have a Mercedes or other foreign car, I highly recommend you, at the least, bring it by and see what they can do!

Tim and John have been my mechanics for over 10 years. When I am having an issue with my car ,I know I can bring it to them and they will correctly diagnose the problem ,explain what needs to be done and what options I have to get the job done . When the repair is made , they again explain what they did and show me the parts that were replaced.

I know they are really concerned that the car I am driving is safe and reliable. I recommend AA Foreign Auto to everyone I know who drives a foreign car.

I've been a loyal customer of A-A Foreign Car Repair for over 5 years. Tim and John run a great shop and have always dealt with me extremely fairly. I have used this shop for a 2002 BMW M5, a 2004 Volkswagon Golf and a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. The M5 gave me quite a few problems, but Tim always steered me in the right direction. In my experience, if you will simply trust their advice, you can't go wrong. You car will be fixed or maintained properly and Tim stands behind his work. I highly recommend them.

Tim and John are very nice and always work hard to take care of you as quickly as possible. They always explain what needs to be done now or what may be a problem in the future. I feel that when they have worked on our BMWs that I can trust it was done right.And as an added bonus...they can take care of most anything so I don't have to drive to Jacksonville.
