Overall
No customer service

This store has RUDE customer service. I was the only customer in the whole rinky dink store. When

My husband I walked in there was two people standing behind the cash register, they didn't bother to greet us or say hello, but that's ok I was there to buy stuff anyways. When I finished we came to the register since there was NO line I was ready with a big smile waiting to be helped. Again no hello or anything of that sort, in fact he just started ringing me up. Ok fine. Then I saw my total and waited for him to kindly tell me how much was owed, nothing. He just kept on talking and laughing with a girl cashier. So I paid for my stuff and left but I felt ignored and unappreciated. We work hard for our money unlike the others who are defendant on the government system! I was mostly offended when the cashier was acting perverted by telling the girl cashier to touch my green vegetables, he kept telling her to " touch it" and she kept giggling and saying "noo" he kept repeating "touch it" in a nasty way, gross! Grow up already would ya?! Anyway don't shop there, they are rude and could care less about you or your money, glad to say I only spent $50

I would strongly urge everyone...

I would strongly urge everyone to avoid shopping at Vinai Market, located at 6968 - 65th St, Sacramento, CA 95823. Also, definitely, whatever you do, do not spend your hard-earned money at Vinai’s Market. Reason being, less than 2 hours ago today, I stopped by Vinai Market to purchase a number of herbs and supplements upon learning through word of mouth that Vinai Market is known to carry a variety of herbs and supplements not necessary found at your average, everyday market.

I spend a great deal of money on various herbs and supplements, especially those of an Asiatic origin because I know they are known to be exceptionally well-made and actually work for whatever may be one’s ailment.

This afternoon, it wasn’t as if Vinai Market had a line of customers out the door, and the two clerks idly standing at their cash registers were simply to busy to assist every customer. In fact, there were only two other customers in the store and both cashiers felt it was much more important to engage in meaningless conversation with them rather than assist a potential paying customer. Note: the two customers had completed their purchases long ago but remained in the store chit-chatting with the two cashiers.

Upon entering Vinai Market nary a greeting or sign of welcome was extended my way and when walking over to the herbal supplement display case, and standing there waiting to be helped. I was virtually outright ignored and apparently invisible since neither of the two cashiers standing at the front counter/registers gave any form of an acknowledgement to my presence.

I must point out I was properly adorned with the four S’s, i.e., shirt, shoes, socks and slacks, so there should not have been a reason to suspect me of any wrongdoing or ill will, especially since I was sans a hoodie and did not ask where the Skittles were kept.

I politely stood at the herbal supplement display case for at least 8-10 minutes while the two cashiers continued their idle chit-chat with the two other customers, and still neither cashier walked over to offer assistance or question whether I needed help finding a certain item.

Finally, with much reserved patience I calmly walked over to one of the cashiers standing at the counter, (still engaged in ineffectual conversation, mind you), and politely said. ‘Excuse me’, in which she turned toward me, then quickly turned toward the other cashier with a definite grimace on her face, then turned very hesitantly back toward me wherein I asked her if all the herbal supplements displayed in the case was the extent of Vinai Market’s health-related inventory.

A somewhat flippant ‘yes’, with a touch of ‘don’t bother me’, was her reply wherein I said thank you and walked out of the store, very disappointed that such a demeaning level of treatment was given, especially since it was my intention to purchase a one to two month supply of a variety of Vinai Market’s herbal supplements/vitamins.

A pity that in still a struggling economy where small independent businesses close up shop every week, the staff at Vinai Market would display such a dismissive attitude to one of what must be very few customers by the looks of the severe lack of cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

So again, unless you simply are turned on at being ignored, treated rudely while freely giving your money away to a retail establishment that doesn’t give a damn about all their customers. I would strongly urge everyone to avoid shopping at Vinai Market altogether and perhaps it may behoove the owner/operator of Vinai Market to explain to his or her cashiers on the meaning of providing customer service to all.
