The Kitchen Restaurant

Excellent! Best fine dining in Sacramento area. This is a fun educational high end experience for the true foodie. Love the courtyard! The wine parings were amazing

The kitchen dining experience never disappoints! Don't let them tempt you with the amazing cookie dough before dinner, you will be so full you won't enjoy dinner ;)

The most unique dinning you will ever experience. It is like being on your own cooking show! You watch the chef make everything in front of you!

What? You've never heard of The Kitchen? That's probably because they do little, if any, advertising. They don't have to; word of mouth has them booked weeks in advance. They have absolutely no outside signage, so one has no idea what's behind the simple building exterior. Trust me on this one, though, you can't judge this "book" by its cover.



Although this restaurant will put a serious pinch on one's pocketbook, (with a half flight of wine shared between the two of us, our check was just over $400), and reservations are not something one can just get the day before, it's by far my favorite restaurant, if that's what one should call it, ever. It's really more of a food experience - kind of like eating art -- art that's prepared in front of you, and explained in great detail by master chefs. Ever wonder what it's like to eat at one of those fancy-schmanzy places shown on the Food Network, but without the snootiness? You'll need wonder no longer after spending an evening at the Kitchen. The extremely attentive staff goes out of their way to make each person feel special and "at home," despite the elegant environment and over-the-top fare. Why drive to the City to experience truly gourmet food? It's right here in Sacramento. I wish I could give this amazing place more than five stars; comparing it to any other restaurant is like comparing apples and diamonds. Yes, you'll pay for it, but you will NOT be disappointed.
