        Overall

        Wonderful Thai food in a great location in mid-town Sacramento. You can even still park for free in the neighboring streets. The salads are very inventive and delicious. It's also very vegetarian friendly as you can substitute tofu for any of the meat in the various dishes. Very fresh ingredients! It has a nice outdoor seating area as well.

        I love this place!

        I have eaten at many Thai restauants. The food was good but not great. The service always so so. I went to Thai basil and the food is wonderful and the service is perfect. I won't go anywhere else any more, it's Thai Basil or nothing!!!!!!

        Have the best Eggplant dish

        Yes, they have the best spicy Eggplant dish but over the years their portion have gotten smaller and their prices went up. Not as good a deal as when it first opened.

Thai Basil has earned and maintained its reputaions for excelent food and service in Sacramento area. Thanks to Prayoon Sununsangthong, the matriarch and inspiration for the family run restaurants. Prayoon insists upon preserving the traditional style of cooking learned from her mother in Thailand.
