I am a Real Estate Broker and work with multiple banks selling their homes in the Sacramento area. I had called and talked to Mike on a Tuesday and explained to him that I was looking for a repair job on a property that was recently vandalized. I explained that it was very important that I get a bid on this work right away as we were under a lot of pressure to close this escrow; I needed an honest contractor and needed him/her right away. He told me that 'yes I absolutely do this work but couldn’t get the bid until Thursday". I thanked him very much for doing this quickly like I needed and I proceeded to let all parties in this transaction know that we would have a bid in hand by Thursday. Mike sent me an email late Thursday morning with the following words 'oh sorry sir, we don’t want to do this job because we only do larger remodel jobs and we are too busy to help you with this small job, sorry, have a nice day'. I was blown away!! I emailed him and explained that this was horrible customer service; he went against his word and didn’t bother to tell me until two days later. He replied with a smart response 'have a nice day sir and Happy Thanksgiving'! I replied again and said, Mike with all due respect this is horrible customer service and he replied again 'nice to talk to you, have a great day'. I’ve been in the Real Estate business for a long time and this was very bad customer service... to say I can provide a service to a customer, then only to find out days later via email that they changed their mind and to top it off offered no resolution to me, the waiting customer, and then reply with smart remarks.

Very bad. This is the first time I have ever posted a negative response online to a company so trust that this guy and his company need to be reconsidered if you are looking for a good contractor to stand by his word, and be worry of the fact that he is too good to help the little guy with small jobs, but tells you oh no problem, we do that work!

Mike's company came out to my newly purchased home and performed exterior wood work trim and repainted my house with awesome colors and great craftmanships, that me and my husband envisioned. Even my neighbors came by to ahhhh! over my new home. Mike gave us a very detailed schedule work sheet and kept to it. His costs were pretty competitive, but not the lowest, however I had a good feeling about him, and as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for", and were glad we took the chance with Mike. He's coming back to repaint our interior once we save up some money, in the next few months.

A few years ago I hired MDO to repair dry rot and paint the exterior of my home. They were very professional and honest. I was so happy with the quality of the work that I didn’t hesitate to call them again. Recently I contacted Mike again to build a deck with railing. I love my new deck! Mike and his crew did a great job & were extremely friendly.

MDO Construction & Development has to be one of the best companies that I've ever hired. I called Mike about giving me bid to add a 1500' addition to my home. Within a few days, he gave me a solid bid and kept to his original costs through out the entire project. We added a few things here and there as well as delete some stuff. With Mike managing the project, every single penny was accounted for and we felt very comfortable and extremely happy with the results. The job was completed 2 weeks earlier than his original schedule, and now were enjoying our newly expanded home. I highly reccommend MDO to build your next project.

MDO was professional, clean, honest & great communication...came out just as I wanted. They remodeled and updated a portion of my home and did a tenant improvement on my office suite. I was completely satisfied with the work. Mike was very nice and kept me informed thru the entire project. I've had other contractors leave debris and scraps all over, so I was very impressed on how they cleaned up at the end of each day.
