        Guided tours allow visitors a glimpse of Leland and Jane Stanford's home as it was in 1871. A visitor center also offers a film, exhibits and artifacts on the history of the mansion. It is the state's official reception center, where the governor and legislative leaders meet with dignitaries from other countries.

        This was a really cool place to visit. We took our family on museum day this year, and had a great time. Fantastic to tour our local history.
