I have been working closely with a gentleman by the name of Andy Pokorny in regards to becoming a future tenant. I just wanted to take a moment, and say a few things about him. First of all, I work in an industry based on customer service and superior patient care. Most of my experience with other people in a similar line of work fall far from my expectations. It is very rare that I meet someone who is exceptional in their line of work; especially in the property management field. From the very first time I spoke with Andy, he has been on top of his game. He was very polite and answered all of my questions. Believe it or not, it is a rare quality now a days in people. I bombarded him with a million questions, and he answered as many as he could. The questions he could not answer on the spot, were followed up with an e-mail the next day with the answers. His customer service is amazing. It is only because of his hard work, that we are going to move forward with renting this property.

HomePointe: the worst company in Sacramento. I never imagined there could be a company with such despicable business practices. These guys are the absolute worst of the worst. Here's how their scam works.
- They get a homeowner to sign an agreement to rent their house through HomePointe.
- They pay lip service to the homeowner's needs.
- They make money off of potential renters' application fees.
- They do not provide homeowners with updates as to how the rental search is going.
- They put ads on their own website with pictures of the house taken via their phones. The pictures can't be expanded to show any detail and the description of your house is poor at best.
- They schedule ten minute walkthrough times and post them on their website only a day or two in advance.
- They are frequently late or don't even show up for the scheduled walkthrough times. I know this because I showed up to the walkthroughs of my house and they were rarely there.
- They put ads on Craigslist if you request them to do so. However, they will not correct the errors that they make (low sq. footage and incorrect rental price in the case of my house) and they don't maintain the ads.
- Their associates will NEVER answer your phone call.
- Their associates' voice mail boxes are typically full to the point that you can't even leave them a message.
- If you fire HomePointe like I did, they will generate an invoice of $99/month within hours of being fired. The $99/month charge is for setting up Craigslist ads.
- If you complain about their poor service to their managers, they will not respond to your e-mails or phone calls.
- If you send an e-mail of complaint to the associate you were working with and CC the owner of the company directly, he will not respond to you at all.
There are better rental agencies in Sacramento. However, nobody knows your home like you do. After I fired HomePointe, it took about 12 hours of my time over two weeks to get my home rented. You can do it. I would just look someplace besides HomePointe for help.

I wish I had read the reviews before my husband & I submitted our application for "pre-approval"! These people are so hard to get a hold of. They lost my paperwork but managed to charge our credit card the $60 for application fees. I had to re-fax our applications. Tina calls me & says they're unable to rent to us because I wor out of town & don't have a transfer date. Where in the clause does it state I must work in Sacramento to rent a home there? They stole our money then had the nerve to continue to call & check my rental history after we were denoed because I wanted to commute while my husband & children lived at the residence! Worst rental company ever!
