- Elke Cooke, M.D. performs Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy and practices anti-aging and preventive medicine at BodyLogicMD of Sacramento where she helps women and men suffering from menopause, andropause and other hormone imbalances achieve a longer, better life. Using individual, customized wellness programs tailored to address each patient's specific, personal needs, Dr. Cooke combines customized nutrition and fitness regimens, pharmaceutical-grade supplements, stress reduction techniques and natural bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to ensure her patients enjoy restored energy, improved mental clarity and the highest quality of life possible. Dr. Cooke transitioned to functional medicine because she witnessed the power a holistic approach has on healing the body and the way it fills in the gaps left by traditional western medicine. She now looks at the body as a whole entity when designing treatment plans, rather than separate organs and symptoms. She encourages her patients to follow in her footsteps, finding health for the body and mind through integrative therapies, including balanced nutrition and routine physical activity. Dr. Cooke personally enjoys mountain and road biking and actively participates in races throughout the country. Elke Cooke, M.D. received her medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She also completed her Residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan and became Board Certified in 2007. Dr. Cooke is specially trained in Medical Esthetics and currently works as an Emergency Physician at Kaiser Permanente in California.
