The Public Works Department is governed by the City of Russellville in Arkansas. The department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the city s infrastructure. It maintains and supervises the design and construction of roadways and drainage systems. The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining traffic control devices, such as signals, signs and pavement markings. It inspects residential, commercial and industrial construction to ensure compliance of building codes. The department designs and maintains city maps and coordinates planning activities, as well as enforces regulations and codes adopted by the city council.
