Cosa Nostra has an amazing assortment of food that has the highest quality and best taste imaginable. It is family owned and they are often shouting at each other in Italian which gives it a great down home fun atmosphere. The waitors are friendly but if you go during rush on a Fri or Sat expect a wait as they do everything fresh to order. It's worth every minute and every penny you will spend though. I take everyone I can and I have never seen anyone who wasn't completely blown away by their food. Bravo!

The place is small and the food is about average for most family owned Italian restaurants. We have eaten there 4 or 5 times, and the service has been adequate at best and terribly slow at worst. For me, that is the big problem. If you are not one of their frequent customers, then you get served after they take care of the “regulars”. On our last visit, there were 3 of us at a 4-person table. We waited just over 30 minutes for a table (just like everyone else) and were finally seated while 2 tables sat empty the entire time we waited. The rest of the place was packed and there was quite a line growing behind us. We sat next to a party of 7 (whom were already seated when we started our 30 minute wait) who I assumed were “regulars” due to the fact that the owner took extremely good care of them. Half way through our meal, a party of about 8 people came in, pushed their way to the front of the line and were immediately seated at the two empty tables that I mentioned earlier. After finishing our meal, the party of 7 next to us just now left, accompanied by good-bys and hugs from the owner and waiter. We were in the process of finishing a bottle of wine, when the waiter came over and told us that we had to leave because they needed out table. A large party that was seated at least 30 minutes prior to us just left, and now we were told to leave. We were not asked, his exact words were “ you need to leave now, it’s crowded and we need the table”. I will never go back to a place that doesn’t want my business.

If you haven't tried this little resturant in Rowlett, Texas than you should! It's a little piece of Italy in our home town. Get there early because the resturant is small, but the service is fast and friendly. And bring your own wine!
