Dental Examination
Your dental hygienist will begin your cleaning by exploring the surface of your teeth to determine whether you have any cavities and to examine the quality of existing fillings. The hygienist will perform a periodontal exam to make sure your gums adhere tightly to your teeth, and no periodontal disease or bone loss may be occurring.

I love that my job brings me into contact with such interesting people every day. Each morning I come into the office knowing that I will be having fascinating conversations, learning something new from an exchange, and laughing a lot. Our patients really are wonderful people and it’s an honor to be able to help them achieve great oral health. I perform oral cancer screenings and teeth cleanings, provide gum disease therapy and periodontal evaluation and charting, apply fluoride and sealants, and take X-rays. I also talk with our patients about nutrition and how to keep their oral cavity healthy between their dental cleanings in our office. Helping a patient learn proper home care processes, and seeing the difference it makes when people come in for their next appointment, is incredibly rewarding.

Teeth Cleaning
Your little one should visit our office every six months for regular dental cleanings and checkups. We recommend fluoride treatments twice a year, along with cleanings to keep teeth their strongest.
Fluoride Treatment
Dental Sealants
Tooth sealants are also recommended because they “seal” the deep grooves in your child’s teeth, and prevent decay from forming in these hard-to-reach areas. Sealants last for several years, but will be monitored at your youngster’s regular checkups.
