DEATH TRAP
As a patient this is the absolute worst I have seen with aging parents and myself. I came here for wound control and pain management. The pain management is a joke!!!! The nursing staff is busy, cannot give medication on time with the way the schedule was laid out by Dr. Chavez. I had problems many nights the "on call" nurse practitioner and house supervisor. Lied to say there was nothing they could do. As if calling the Dr in charge was out of the questions. In addition Toni, charge nurse and house supervisor, stated that the had a lot of sick people and nurses were trying to keep up. It's a hospital that is their job to care for sick people. If they are understaffed it is their job that patients have quality care. Not happening. it was over a week and I was never given a bath. I was told that they did not have time. I also notice the facility being a newer building they would have a shower room for handicap. Yes they do, but it is used as a storage closet!!! Shameful. I had to bathe out of the sink which was only able to wash about 40% of my body. The nurse remarked you don't need assistance with a bath you can do it yourself. What a cop out as if 40% body wash a substandard that meet their criteria. Medication was frequently skipped by the night stafff and the most part was rude they did have time. Time again and again was a factor they did not have. Wound care is typically handled by a team. On the weekend my day nurse said she wanted to change my dressing. The nurse got everything unwrapped and freaked out, ran out of the room to get help. Nurses, CAs do not interact with patients to know their needs. Read between the lines. I would say run don't look back. There are many other quality facilities that will give you quality care.
