Chuck, David and his crew did what at first seemed like a good job at a good price. Then it started raining, and the decomposed granite hardscaping washed away in about 20 places. On a project that involved some stone walls over four feet high, that's a fairly small problem, but I had hoped for better. I feel they should have known that would happen, and should be willing to fix it. After many contacts, Chuck sent a small crew back and they spent about 30 minutes shoveling the gravel back where it belonged. Unfortunately it rained again, and undid their work. After one more e-mail, Chuck just ignored my attempts to contact him. Since a number of aspects of the job went well, I gave them two stars instead of one.

UPDATE. They finally contacted me, and then sent a crew out to fix the problems. I agreed to pay for materials, but their crew of three men spent about a half a day at no additional charge making the repairs. They did a good job, and I think it will withstand the rain this time. I'm increasing their rating to 4 stars. I cannot justify 5 stars because of the communication problems and because I paid several hundred dollars for the materials to do the repair.

We recently bought our house and needed work. American Arbors was our choice because they got right back to us, came out several times to figure out creative solutions to our issues, were accessible by phone, provided a prompt courteous team, cleaned up after themselves, and listened to our budget needs. In a week's time they accomplished so much. The owner, Chuck, is very knowledgeable about how trees work together and creates a synergistic system that will maximize the existing landscape with the newer elements. He and his team were able to utilize what we had and then add to it for a complete transformation. Very efficient and talented."

I am happy to write this review for American Arbors. I have had these guys trim trees, clear land and remove several dead trees from my yard. They did good work and cleaned up well after themselves. Their prices on tree removal and trimming are excellent.
