HORRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK FOR

This correspondence should aid and be validated as a indication of how I feel as a City of Atlanta resident. I am enraged, furious and dissatisfied with the treatment of our kids this summer. As, I am certain you all are aware of the several misfortunes and organization that has been bestowed upon our kids via USA Pools operating as the independent contractor for the outdoor pools for the City of Atlanta. This company has been nothing but iniquitous, discriminating, and unfair through this entire process. I’m not quite certain as to why this was outsourced in the beginning but there was something in my heart that steered to believe that this wasn’t going to be in the best interest of our kids here that live in the inner city and as my notions serve me correctly I was in fact right. Just to give you a little insight as to how proactive I am when it comes to my kids I started out in March making arrangements for my kids to have summer employment and at that time I was advised that there were new people being put in place and no definitive decisions had been made as to whether or not the city would go ahead with the staffing of the pools this summer or outsource the indenture to a contractor. After numerous more calls it was then in May when I found out that USA pools had been given the illustreous task of overseeing and staffing the pools for the city. At that time I immediately contacted USA pools to find out what my kids along with some other individuals whom had worked with the city in the past as lifeguards, and or managers needed to do to apply. Applications were being completed, interviews were being setup, certifications were being obtained etc... For those of us who have kids in school even had to get the kids out of school to go and interview up in Roswell, GA which is not a 15 minute commute for most of us. However, moving forward the kids were employed and immediately thereafter is when the non-sense started. The kids were required to purchase their own uniforms, Ladies $96 Men $76 plus shipping, obtain background checks from the city which were $10 (had to leave work/school early to obtain the background checks), obtain mandatory drug screening which were $ 30. At this point I wasn’t very enthralled seeing as how I have two kids and a nephew that I incurred all of the necessary expenses totaling $380.
