One Step at A Time Counseling Services Inc

WARNING: DO NOT USE ONE STEP AT A TIME!!!!!
I went to One Step at a Time after moving to Detroit from Dallas. I spent $250 just to get my meds refilled. The Doctor did not have Rexulti samples like all my other doctors have had (Rexulti is $800 WITH insurance), so she took me off the Rexulti as well as Xanex (cold turkey), and she put me on Lamictal and Risperidone. I SUFFERED FROM WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS FOR OVER ONE MONTH!!! Absolutely no sleep, clamminess, hot/cold sweats, crawling in my skin, irritability, suicidal thoughts, among others. I called One Step at a Time to request an emergency appointment and they said their (one & only) Doctor took a medical leave of absence and they were in the process of hiring someone else. It took them OVER 1.5 MONTHS TO HIRE SOMEONE, leaving me with NO meds whatsoever for 3 WEEKS!!! I've been under psychiatric care for 24 years now and I have never felt worse in my life, not to mention I could have committed suicide which would be on their watch!! I had to fly to Dallas to see my previous psychiatrist, who said she should have NEVER taken me off those meds cold turkey and that technically she should not have her license!! I HIGHLY ADVISE NOT GOING TO ONE STEP AT A TIME. THEY HAVE NO CONCERN FOR THEIR PATIENTS!!!!!!
