Baytown Seafood Restaurant

We had heard about how good Baytown Seafood was and had been anxious to try it out but we don't live near one. Tonight we had the opportunity to visit the Baytown in Rosenburg. We got there right after 9 pm, which we immediately discovered was their closing time. The manager, Diamond, checked with the kitchen to see if they still had any hot fryers. They did and she showed us to a seat, gave us menus and told us to take our time - not to hurry. We got fried pickles, frog legs, shrimp and oysters. Everything was delightful. Lots of food - too much food. We had to take "doggie bags" home w/ us. Very reasonable prices. After Diamond seated us, a very attentive surver named David took very good care of us. The entire experience was delightful, we were glad that we had come and we will be back - for sure!

Hot and fresh ,the fried Flounder is great.

One it is way over priced.Two the lettuce in salad slimy not fresh.Three raw oysters out of a tub not on a half shell at $10.99 for a dozen.Three Stuffed Shrimp fall apart when you bite into them because they use flower instead of cornmeal batter.Four they put American cheese on my catfish poorboy. Five the Catfish ,and French fries no seasoning at all.The only thing good was the dirty rice that we got to replace the salad that someone in the kitchen said that the salad was free and we should be charged for the dirty rice. I spent $37.00 dollars before tip, and Ive had better seafood at long johns silver. I would of spent as much at Papadeux Seafood and would been happy. Worst Seafood Ever
