Z's Catfish

We went here for the first time as we didn't know they were here and wanted catfish. It is kinda hard to find as it's in the back corner of a non descript older strip shopping area.

Looks are deceiving!! While not a lot to see from the front, the food and smiling faces are wonderful! Great tasting fried catfish, respectable red beans and rice and surprisingly good fried cornbread. Fish was cooked well and good sized.

A cozy, down home feel of authenticity without all the fancy hype of other yuppie restaurants. Just good, honest home cooked great food and nothing pretentious.

Great place and will DEFINITELY be back!!

Catfish fried to perfection, not greasy, and the sides were amazing! I had the collard greens, black-eyed peas and candied yams. And I can't forget the golden fried hushpuppies. You are in for a treat.
