Children's Manor Montessori School

First it is not a real montessori program as i have thought. They did put different ages kids together, but they learn not much among each other.their plan is always ambitious but not practical.hiden fee is very high. Two months ad advance payments. Front desk and principle are friend only when you do not have any question. Once you have some questions, donot expect you can get answers quickly or easily, they seem to have certain agreement among them since they tend to tell that they work for cmms and will get information from upper level.
You will not get school notice if you do not pay attention to the small paper hided somewhere at school door.
Anyway monthly price is o.k.but if consider the quality of service to kids or you, the price do not worth it at all.

I recently withdrew my son from this school in accordance with the 1-month withdrawal notification policy. The reasons I withdrew my son from this school follow:

* He is left handed and his teacher forced him to use his right hand.
* She continued to force him to use right-handed scissors because she didn't know left handed ones existed.
* He came home one day in the very same pull-up I'd sent him to school in, pants soaked through.
* Staff turnover -5 different directors in a year
* The "PAC" keeps placing extra financial demands on parents with no info on where "Pizza Friday" fees go.
* My child has learned theme songs from TV we do not show him at home. He told me that they watch it on the "Ipad" at school.
* Recently, I've arrived to pick-up and found the ENTIRE CLASS parked in front of a portable DVD player watching cartoons.
* They planned move him to Pre-K even though he is not ready to make room to admit more students.

The teachers are really what make the school. Both my sons have gone there and have thrived now that they are in elementary school. They were more than prepared and where already reading and writing in pre-k

I don't know about the other reviews, as those reviews made me quite skeptical about having my son attend. After visiting the facility, and seeing how clean, modern, and updated, the facility is, in addition to kind, warm, motherly teachers, who my son adores, I have no idea how this place received such terrible reviews. Also, one thing I really like about this place are the size of the classrooms are quite spacious, allowing my son ample room to not feel closed in, like some other facilities I visited were. It's only been a week since my son started and he is already eager and excited to go to school. He gives his teacher a hug when he arrives in the morning and I feel almost completely comfortable leaving him here. And I only say almost, because if I had a choice, I would only leave him for a few hours a day, but unfortunately, I'm a single working mom, who is at work 8 hours a day, and therefore, my son is at school 9 hours a day. Which for a 2 year old, I think it's a little too much, but for now, its just the way it needs to be. I am so happy I did not settle for any school until I found one I liked, and I can say with complete conviction, this is a good school for my liking and my son's. Good luck on your search!

Unless you cannot find any school that fit into your schedule or budget, otherwise DO NOT GO THERE. Fee might seems reasonable at first place, but there are some hidden fee you just don't know it. This place basically just a daycare. Is not worth to put your child into this school. The director there, she is mean, she seems knowledgeable, but you can't ask any question, because she will tell you " oh, I don't know anything about it, I have to ask such, such person...I don't run this place....." well, but you are the director for the center. .... bad experience. Goddard School at rockville is the best.... your children will be happy everyday.
