Sunrise Animal Hospital

I have used Sunrise animal hospital after finding them from a friend after a horrible experience with my little poodle. I can tell you without any hesitation dr. Rose and dr. popa are the most compassionate and truthful doctors any pet owner should have. I just lost my beloved Shockey and the way that Dr. andy cared for him i could cry. the staff were above and beyond helpful and so caring THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart .

The staff is friendly and kind. They are so patient and good with my elderly epileptic pit bull! Prices are worth every penny for the high level of service they provide. Dr. Rose has gone out of his way to advise me over the phone, and the other doctors are warm and willing to answer all my questions. Love this place!

This is what happened to my co-worker when she brought her young female cat to have her spayed... she inquired about price and was informed over the phone it was to be in the range of $200.00 to $250.00...when her son picked up the cat later that day...she was charged an outrageous price of $440.00...this so called animal hospital padded the bill to included cat litter "good news litter" I could have bought the entire 5 lb. bag at $9.00...antibiotic shot at $49.00...for a tiny kitten! How much antibiotics did this include, enough for a horse...they charged for disposal of medical waste...what waste!!! a pea sized ovary?? I was appalled when my co-worker showed me the bill that I called on her behalf and informed them of just that...they lied and said that she signed a pre-estimate agreement with them...NO such agreement exists as she was not there personally to sign anything and neither did her son.

She is now filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the State Board of Medical Ethics...this is a greedy bait and switch operation...they lie and steal and hold you pet hostage as they milk you for every cents possible! AVOID Sunrise Animal Hospital LIKE THE PLAGUE! Crooked operation to say the least...I do TNR rescue with the ASPCA and have had many cat/kittens spayed and neutered and used numerous Vets in Queens, Manhattan, Long Island, Brooklyn for the last 30+ years...I spayed and neutered over 10 cats in the past year alone! and it never costs over $400.00 even if vaccinations are given...spaying a kitten at most with shots should have been $200.00 to $250.00 MAX!! And if you go to a Vet that accepts a spay /neuter certificate the price is even half of $200.00.

In my opinion use them at your own risk and than only if you want to be ripped off!
