Cardell Collision

I was driving too fast and recieved a wreckless driving ticket. The officer said my car would have to be towed. They went down a list a services they used and had All American Towing (They also own Cardell Collision / Cardell Auto Repair) pick up my vehicle. I called the next day to pick up the car. He said it was $305.00 for the initial tow charge! And $29.00 per day after that. What is a day? How many hours are in everyones day? They said they charge the $29.00 per day charge for every 12 hours that the vehicle is there. How is that legal? Also, I called after they closed to inquire about the cost, received that information, and explained I wanted to come get the car now. He said i will have to wait until they open up and that i would be charged for the 2ND 12 day charge. The car was there for about 24 hours so they charged $363.00. I explained that I thought that was too much and the guy said he doesn't set the prices the highway patrol does. I called highway patrol to confirm this. Lieutenant Gumple with the highway patrol (his office number is (803) 465-1824) returned my call as I was there right as the guy was running my card. I explained everything to the lieutenant. He asked to speak with the shop's owner (I left it on speaker phone so I could hear), asked him about the charges, chewed him out for over charging me, told him if he didn't reduce/ refund the over charged amount ($105 over charged) he was going to run an investigation on him and remove him from the list of approved tow companies. The owner tucked his tail between his legs and stroked a check to me.

Considering how unprofessional and dishonest this guy is, I WOULD NOT recommend ever doing business with any of his few illegitimate business.

And lastly, his tow truck is a really old barely running truck, his "office" is a complete disaster and looks like a pack of wild animals stormed through it, and he is VERY rude and uses profanity toward anyone that doesn't agree with how he runs things or how he charges for things.

I am a single woman and I am always cautious about doing business with people I don't know. It has been true in the past that a shop would take advantage of a woman. BUT I want to say that I Wholeheartedly endorse Cardell Auto. They took the time to explain everything to me. All my questions were answered. Never did I feel uncomfortable. And they didn't over charge me. I have told all my friends about them.

Wish I could give it half a star, actually NO stars. The lady I talked w/ and Cardell are rude and have attitudes for no reason. They also do All American towing too, I think 120 Workman St. in Rock Hill, don't work w/ these people...to give it straight, they are a bunch of jerks, I used another word, but yellowpages wouldn't let me use it, but you know what I'm thinking. I talked to them on the phone, told them I'm the way up there and when I get there, nobody's there and I have to wait for 20 mins when they knew I was coming! Then I try to be as nice as I can and the lady I talked w/ is just being rude, has an attitude and cussing for no reason. They act like I want to be up there! Then the office is a mess, leaves and dirt all over the floor. It looks like their dog went and tore everything up in there because there's all this junk laying all on the floor. I'm not usually this mean, but these people were rude to me from the start and I don't think they're AT ALL professional and I hate I ever had to deal w/ these people. If you disagree w/ me then they must like you and only certain people. They need to treat EVERYBODY w/ respect even new people, and I got NO respect from any of them. Hope you 'jerks' read this and I hope you know who I am, been having to deal w/ ya'll for the past 3 days.
