Be verrrrry careful coming here to get braids done especially if you want them long. I visited this place on two occassions for sengelese twists. The first time they were gorgeoous. They made them very long and my ends were rodded and they were full like I requested. The second time I went and requested the exact same thing it was the total opposite for the same price. When they were done I expressed my concern and instead of them showing compassion about my experience as a customer, they blamed me saying that I was the one to request the ends to be curly and thats why it was shorter. Thats bs because if I told you I want my braids really long with the ends curly, you as a professional at your craft should know to make the braids long so when you do curl the ends they will still have length! I was very disappointed with my hair this time. It is not full ( the middle is full of huge parts) and it and the length stops right before the top of my bra strap. when I requested to them I wanted them very long and whey past my bra strap. They charged me extra for length and made it short. Yes I am very pissed because I paid 250.00 for this mess! Now I have to take it down and correct it Smh. Im just saying ladies be very careful and make sure they are giving you what your money is worth!

The staff is very friendly and they do outstanding work. I was very pleased with the micro braids they put in. They do speak French at the shop, but they also speak English well, and do include you in on their conversations, or translate what someone says. The women are all very friendly and polite. They do take appointments any day of the week, which is convenient.

I was so thrilled to learn that a Hair braiding shop opened in Elgin. I called The braiding house on a Sunday and they were open. The shop is much cleaner than any other shop I have been in. The stylists are helpful and friendly. The only thing is that they speak a lot in french although they try to include you in the conversation by translating what they are talking about.

I had micro braids done and Flo the stylist really took her time to do them nice and small. My friend had sew-in and it came out georguous. No more need to drive all the way to the city. I found the place to do my hair in the suburbs.
