Staff yells at patients tells them to shut up all the time instead of listening to the issue. The withhold meds and pads. The staff there is lazy and only cares for a paycheck. They treat you like animals in there. Not to mention they lock you out of your room so you can't use the bathroom, they keep the front bathroom locked as well. They set you up for failure with certain rules. They harass you every 15 minutes all night long with flashlights in your face and you might get lucky to meet with your doctor for 5 minutes whenever they decided to show up for work. This place was the most unsanitary, unprofessional not to mention extremely rude place I've been to. Avoid at all costs!

They are the absolute worst...Broadway me and threatened me..called Georgia adult protective service t threaten me....My husband is extremely sick....manipulative...his family disowned him....don't go there and stay away from Julie Aziz

My husband admitted himself from the local hospital to get help for alcohol detox and to get the counseling there until being transferred to another facility. Both of our experiences dealing with this place was horrible. I will forever warn people to NEVER go here. You will be treated as if you are a true crazy\suicidal person (whether you are or not), you will be sleep deprived, starved, freezing cold and treated by unlicensed interns and social workers (and I say that loosely since they only have M.A. degrees and have not ANY credentials.) Each shift follows the rules and regulations differently and depending on how they feel. You will only have 15mins for each meal with no snacks or drinks between. You will color in coloring books and listening to complaint after complaint from fellow patients for the "therapy and counseling classes." One of the women who my husband befriended was sexually harassed by patients and staff (I'm following up with her because she has a perfect lawsuit). Also, the only Dr there is a pill pusher shrink who doesn't give a crap: a Dr Lunceford. Tashina the social worker is another horrible staff member who will flat out lie to you and your loved one's face. I also have proof that they committed insurance fraud. Riverwoods is a perfect example of how the Georgia Mental Health System is in the toilet... and no one seems to care. I am a licensed Occupational Therapist who has worked with Mental Health and Addicted patients... trust me.

This place is a joke, I got my husband out of there as soon as possible.
