I don't want to make any judgements on this place, so I'll just share my story and let you decide for yourself.



I took my car there to get my breaks inspected. They told me that my breaks were completely worn down, that they were metal on metal and needed to be fixed. They quoted me $220 to do this. I told them I needed to talk to my husband about it and then they proceeded to warn me that if I kept driving it like this my car could catch on fire. That really scared me! But I still wanted to take it somewhere to get a second opinion because I had my breaks done 3 years ago. They also told me that some other things on my car needed to be fixed. The entire quote was $ 500.00.



I took it to another mechanic place and just asked him to check my breaks out and the other things that I had been told were bad. After looking at my car he told me my breaks are perfectly fine and still really thick. Out of the work that Ron's guys quoted me (it would have cost 500.00) the other mechanic told me that my car only needed one repair, that Ron's had quoted me for $75.



So it does concern me that Ron's told me my breaks were metal on metal and the other auto shop told me my breaks are thick and perfectly fine. It makes me nervous to ever take my car to Ron's again.



They were really nice, but I highly recommend getting a second opinion if you decide to take your car there.
