The business, in Hyrum's mind, was much more than a business, it was a place for his family to work and function together, which has proven incredibly successful so far. Most of his sixteen children have spent significant time with the business, including Rupp, Todd, Dale, Legrand, James, and Adam. His oldest sons who currently work full-time. Other children and grandchildren help out in seasonal and part-time positions. Intermountain didn't grow significantly until Hyrum's sons were able to work full-time, but then the growth took off, leading to multiple new steel buildings including a new office and a modernized dismantling bay, a second functioning yard in Salmon, Idaho, and an award from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. Returning to customers will notice a cleaner and more organized yard with no more mobile homes as warehouses, no more piles of disorganized parts, and a ten-foot fence surrounding it. They plan to become more efficient with every passing day, and to continue expanding to serve more people's needs, while still caring for the needs of those in the Eastern Idaho area, whether it be a long-time loyal customer or a new friend to be made.

Overall

Horrible customer service. Gentleman behind the counter seemed put off when I stopped by. I asked him about a part I was looking for, and he was less than helpful (I think he simply didn't understand what I was asking for, but made little effort to communicate with me). I ended up going out with a parts-puller (who was friendly), and we found exactly what I needed on a vehicle that was in on the lift in their shop, in the process of being dismantled.



The part I needed is pretty easy to get to, requiring only a single nut be removed. The parts puller with me grabbed a wrench almost had it off when the gentleman from the front counter appeared, sent the parts puller to lunch, and told me off. He was even less friendly, seemed to accuse me of throwing everything "off schedule", and told me they I'd have to wait a couple hours for the part. The final kicker was that there was going to be a $20 yard fee for pulling the part, on a vehicle that wasn't even in the yard!



I went directly to Bonneville Wrecking. Everyone there was friendly, helped me find a vehicle with the part I needed, and let me pull it off myself (literally a 1 minute job). Being as it was a small and rather insignificant part, they told me I could just have it. I know I'll do plenty of business with Bonneville in the future, so their little act of kindness will surely pay in dividends. Especially since I won't take any more business to Intermountain again!

Overall

Had to order a new window for my car. The customer service and pricing were great, and they shipped it quickly and very well packed. After dealing with another extremely uncooperative company, this was a welcome surprise. I would definitely recommend them.

I am very impressed with the quality of service that I received. they are very friendly and the prices were excellent. I would refer them to anyone of my friends and family.

Overall

I needed a part for my Jeep. They had the part there the next day. I was not as expensive as anticipated, and they had really good customer service. I would recommend Intermountain Auto to anyone. I plan on going there again if I ever need another part.

It's fast, it's clean, it's reliable. Every time I've needed something, they either had the part or they knew where I could find it. They also have used vehicles, and they helped me get one that fit what I needed.
