Ideal Pet Care

Wow the bad reviews, putting a pet to sleep is tragic. Why prolong it with one shot to sedate, then another to put down? Dog would have been terrified for the first shot. 11 year old cat dies after a check up. A checkup of an animal does not include all knowing of hidden problems that could be life threatening. Asking assistant what shot she is giving? Tell me you wouldn't want any Doctor to be sure the needle he/she is putting in you is what they asked for? Vet don't fill the syringe, the assistant does. This is an excellent place for your pet. My dogs are 10 and 11 and have been well cared for there.

Dr. Osborn and her staff were incredible! Very caring and supportive! I would highly recommend this office to anyone. Hands down the best ever!

Took my beautiful husky to be put to sleep. She was absolutely terrified and they didn't bother to sedate her. My poor girl lived out her last few minutes in terror, screaming. It was heartless and cruel. She didn't deserve to die like that.

I brought my 11 year old cat into Ideal for a yearly checkup, and they said everything was good ...its just that she is over weight. Tthree days later my cat died. My twelve year old saw her howl and die. My husband called the office and they said there is nothing they could do,so my husband said it could be a bad bash of meds and she would tell the doctor. The doctor or the office was no help or called back to say I'm sorry. They did not offer to cremate or anything. Never had I've been anywhere like this

I have a dog with serious health issues and a new dog that was not in very good shape when I got him and immediately took him to Dr. Osborne at Ideal. I am totally happy with the staff and vets at Ideal Pet Care. Their rates are very reasonable and I have never observed or experienced the staff being less than courteous. Because they are good, they are very busy so you might have to wait a bit.

The staff is always respectful. The Vet is amazing and enjoys working with animals. The vet is always concerned about your pet and asks YOU the questions one should ask. Less expensive than any Jacksonville clinic and certainly better.



In regards to the negative posting, take a look at your attitude before before you judge their responses.

My wife and I have taken our cats and dogs to Ideal Pet dor nearly 20 years now and have never been disappointed with the care and compassion shown by the vets and staff there. We highly endorse these professionals.

My wife and I have been taking our cats and dogs to Ideal Pet since their doors opened in the early 1990's and we have never been disappointed in the care and compassion shown to our pets and to us. We fully endorse Ideal Pet to anyone who needs small animal care.

Read all the reviews before I considered going. Thought it would be a good clinic since there were so many good ones, so I made an appointment. I assumed wrong. Bad service, rude staff. Will never deal with this clinic again. Gives wrong prices and the woman vet doesn't know what the shots are when giving it to your animal (she has to ask her assistant; very "knowledgeable if you ask me), and if you ask a health question to the vet and she doesn't know, they won't even try to find an answer for you. If you love your babies as much as I do, please consider going somewhere else. I know we definitely will.
