X-rays
Watson Family Dentistry utilizes the latest dental technology and maintains the highest sanitation standards in order to provide the quality dental care our patients and their families have come to expect from our practice. We have 3D and panoramic X-rays, intraoral cameras, and digital imaging smile preview software. Our sterilization techniques meet or exceed the strict requirements set by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Oral Cancer Screening

Teeth Cleaning
The best way to spot oral cancer is by maintaining regular visits to Watson Family Dentistry for preventive care. Every time you come in for a cleaning and exam we check carefully for signs of oral cancer. Symptoms of oral cancer include mouth sores that won’t heal, a lump in the mouth, persistent throat pain and changes in the sound of your voice. If you notice any of these signs, contact us right away. Like all cancers, early detection is essential for successful treatment.
Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride treatments and dental sealants have proven to be highly effective in preventing decay and cavities. After a professional dental cleaning, we will apply a topical fluoride treatment to protect the teeth. Depending on your risk for cavities, we might recommend a fluoride treatment every three or six months. Sealants are another useful barrier to fight cavities. They fill the deep grooves in the teeth so that food particles don’t get stuck and they protect the enamel from plaque and acids that lead to decay. Both children and adults can benefit from fluoride treatments and dental sealants.

Bonding can sometimes be used to repair teeth that are chipped, cracked or discolored. It isn’t as strong as a porcelain veneer and doesn’t last as long but it can improve the appearance of a tooth. Bonding can also be used to fill in spaces between the top of the tooth and the gums caused by receding gums.

® crown technology has revolutionized the way dental crowns are made and placed. Before Cerec, patients were required to make several office visits. First, they had to endure a messy impression tray and an often ill-fitting temporary crown. Then they had to wait weeks for the permanent crown to come back from the lab. Now Cerec one-visit crowns are created using digital technology and milled on a state-of-the-art machine that is located in our office.
Bridges
Watson Family Dentistry offers a number of solutions for our patients who are missing one or more teeth. Dental bridges close the gap when you are missing a few teeth but not a full palate. The bridge is custom-made for each individual situation and looks and functions just like natural teeth. Your dental bridge can be attached to stable teeth on either side of the bridge. Root Canal Treatment

Root canal therapy is a common procedure that is relatively pain-free thanks to modern dentistry and our experienced practitioners. Our experts will help you choose the denture option that is best for your budget and expectations. We offer full and partial dentures that are secured with strong dental adhesives. Another solution are dentures that snap onto dental implants. Today’s dentures are much improved over those that were the brunt of jokes for years. You can rest assured that your dentures will be designed for your mouth and face. They will feel comfortable and look like real teeth.

Dental Implants
The dental implant is made of a biocompatible titanium post which will act as a substitute for your tooth root. Our dentists surgically implant the post into your jawbone and secure the gum tissue over the top. During the healing process, the bone naturally grows around the post and integrates it into the jawbone. Healing can take between 3 to 6 months but it’s worth the wait because as the bone bonds with the post, it preserves facial structure and prevents bone deterioration. After healing, an extension post will be placed on top of the implant and it will be topped off with a custom-made tooth restoration.
