Summit Implants & Oral Surgery : Dr. Lucas Beatty, DDS, MD & Dr. Jared Cottam, DDS, MD

I had an emergency extraction that I needed done asap. I was treated very professionally and got in for an appointment the very next morning after I called. The whole staff, from the billing department that verified my insurance and called me back within minutes of making the appointment, to the nurses and Dr. Beatty, were awesome. It was a comfortable easy experience and I couldn't have asked for a better staff and a cleaner more professional office.
This was my first extraction and I was nervous but this great staff put me at ease. Would definitely use them again for any future needs for oral surgery.

Dr.Beatty is the best of the best. Couldn't find anyone better if you tried. All his assistants are so great as well. Highly recommend.

Dr. Beatty and his lovely assistant Doina are the best!! People don't typically think of going to the dentist as a fun experience but I had a great time talking with Doina before my procedure. She's excellent! and Dr. Beatty was calm and assuring. The procedure itself was quick and they all work together to get you in and out and on with your day. Great job guys!! I had a crowned tooth removed. The recovery was easy...just follow their instructions.

I had a tooth go South in a hurry and needed an extraction. The whole office from receptionist to the Doc are all on the same page and exhibit teamwork that gets the patient through the whole process with no fuss nor muss. They were accommodate me at the last minute, when I arrived the receptionist already had paperwork partially pre-filled. One thing I did notice is the median age of staff, surgeon excluded, is fairly young but they know their stuff! The X-ray tech was friendly and cheerful and got my pix done in 20 seconds. The actual extraction was pain-free. I hope I never need to get this kind of work done again, but if I do I would not hesitate to call Summit in a heartbeat.

I love Dr. Cottam!!!!! Not only is he one of the nicest people I know but he remembers me and asks how my sick son is, half my friends dont remember he is still not 100% and that was during an after hours (9pm) call. The first time I met him was the day he did surgery because it was urgent. He answered the phone the night before and after a short dicussion he set up surgery for the next morning and it went wonderful. All the procedures he has done to correct other doctors mistakes have been wonderful. I work in health care and would refer my mother or anyone else I know to Dr. Cottam. Had a little trouble with his office staff but it was worth dealing with them to see him!!!!

Wow, it's funny how the previous review posted is a lot like my story. I also had preapproval done for my daughter to have 4 wisdom teeth extracted. The quoted price was much, much less. And it's not because I don't understand that there are variable rates depending on what needs to be done with the teeth extraction. (I have a Masters degree that is human anatomy and physiology based.) Please be careful. If you have a PPO provider network for your dental care, that DOES NOT mean all the dentists charge the same price. The dentist can submit whatever rate they'd like. The rule is they can only increase the prices by 2% per year. In the case of Beatty and Cottam, they're relatively new, so they submit $3,600. Others in our area charge as little as $2,200. And with our dental care, they cover a percentage (if you haven't been enrolled for 3 years) and then you're responsible for everything over the $2,000 mark per year. I believe the office staff knows exactly what they're doing. They talk circles around you to try to make you believe it's you who doesn't understand your plan. Luckily our dental plan is very good and has an excellent phone staff to explain everything to boot! I understand. I've now been told by our current dentist that this plan is being examined because the consumers are not being protected. Sure, they're friendly enough when they believe you'll be using their services. Wait until you start asking questions about fees, are educated about it, or would like a copy of your records. You can expect less than cordial behavior. LOOK OUT!

i went in for an impacted wisdom teeth and i told the staff when i went in i needed to know before the procedure what it was going to cost so they said got a preauthorization and would be 320 after insurance was fine with that well recently was told it would cost me 605 after insurance which makes no sense it is double the amount i was quoted and the only thing the stupid receptionist will tell me is its my fault they billed the procedure wrong and i am not ok with that so if you are on a budget avoid this place due to they cant bill correctly or check and see how wisdom teeth removal is covered before you go in they have not F****** clue what they are doing. on the other hand the procedure was easy and the care i got from the doctors was great so no problem with them just the office staff they have.

They are the best dentist, doctor, medical office that I've ever been to point blank period! I am terrified of the dentist but Dr. Beatty and her staff has made getting 3 extractions a walk in the park. Anyone lucky enough to come upon this office should definitely schedule an appointment! I love them! Thank you for everything!

I had my four wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Beatty and everything ran smoothly! Dr. Beatty and his staff were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly which put me at ease! They made sure I was well taken care of before and after my surgery with multiple follow up phone calls to see how I was feeling! Exceptional doctor, I couldnt be happier with the work he did! I would HIGHLY recommend him :)

Susie is a sweetheart she is always nice and remembers my name when I come into the office. She is great and so is Dr. Cottam they all have good manners, they are nice, and this is why I started coming here because they treat you right and make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend these guys.
