Owned and operated by Dr. Suzanne Quigley, Red Bank Orthodontics was established in 1983 by Dr. William Wood. Dr. Quigley was born in Red Bank and raised locally in Lincroft. Her sister, Beth, had a high school job at a local department store in The Grove in Shrewsbury where Dr. Wood used to shop. She was helping him there one day and they started talking about her plans to attend Holy Cross College, which happens to be Dr. Wood's alma mater. Many years later when reading the alumni magazine issued in the fall of 2001, he recognized Beth as one of the 9/11 victims who graduated from Holy Cross. Upon learning that Beth’s sister was an orthodontist living in the area, Dr. Wood introduced himself to Dr. Quigley at a professional meeting. Over the years they slowly became friends and she joined the practice in 2018. During the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown of dental offices, Dr. Quigley and her husband renovated the office and she subsequently bought the practice.
Invisalign Orthodontics
During the impression process, you can breathe or swallow as you normally would. You can even pause during the process if you need to sneeze or just want to ask a question. The scanner gives us a 3D model of your mouth that can be used for your dental services including the Invisalign
Braces
Clear aligners are removable, comfortable plastic trays that straighten the teeth like braces. Since they are removable, you can eat and drink without concern while in treatment. Plus, this helps to make brushing and flossing during treatment much easier. The aligners are comfortable and esthetic and typically do not cause mouth irritations during treatment. You are given several sets at a time and one set is worn for 1-2 weeks. As long as you are the type of person who can remember to wear the trays for 21-22 hours a day then this may be a great treatment option for you.
