Kate is our super enthusiastic staff nurse. A graduate of Cape Fear CC School of Nursing. She has worked in various nursing positions over the past 11 years including 8 years as a staff nurse in the emergency department at Rex Healthcare. She is involved directly with patients on the day of surgery with the pre-operative preparation as well as recovery. She is very dedicated to give the patient the best experience possible. Kate has been with Dr. Morea since March of 2015 and is more than willing to help each patient with guidance and personal attention to help them achieve their personal goals.

Tummy Tuck, also known as Abdominoplasty, is the procedure that will tighten and remove sagging, excess skin from the abdominal wall and tighten the abdominal muscles. It is commonly requested by women who wish to regain their abdominal contour after childbirth. It is also the procedure of choice for both men and women after dramatic weight loss that has resulted in loose, excess skin. Some additional liposuction may also be involved to further tailor the abdominal contour. During your abdominoplasty consultation, Dr. Morea will carefully explain the procedure to you and review many before and after photographs. Botox
The loss of facial volume can result in wrinkles, lines and folds which can make you appear older and less vibrant. Injectable treatments for aesthetic facial enhancement are non-surgical techniques recommended for patients who have begun to show some early signs of aging but are not yet ready for full surgical procedures. Injectables like Botox, Dysport and Restylane are popular for fit, healthy young men and women who are beginning to see early signs of aging and unwelcome changes in their appearance. Brow Lift

Liposuction
The abdominal component of the mommy makeover will depend upon the degree of excess or loose skin, the strength or weakness of the muscle wall and the amount of excess fatty tissue. These factors will determine whether the patient needs abdominal liposuction, a minor tummy tuck or a full tummy tuck. Abdominal liposuction involves the use of a cannula to remove excess or unwanted fatty tissue. Liposuction will have no effect on the abdominal muscle wall and does not involve removal of excess skin. A tummy tuck procedure will remove fatty tissue, excess loose skin and the appearance of stretch marks will be improved. The muscle/fascia layer will be tightened with the placement of sutures which will flatten the abdomen and help restore the pre pregnancy appearance. A mini tummy tuck may be the procedure of choice if the excess skin is limited to the lower portion of the abdomen below the umbilicus.
Breast Augmentation
Both saline and silicone breast implants are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Both types of breast implants can be an excellent choice for breast enhancement surgery. Breast implants come in a number of different shapes, sizes and profiles. There are two basic positions for breast implant placement. On top of the pectorals major muscle, also known as sub glandular, or under the pectorals major muscle, which is referred to as submuscular. The minor abdominoplasty as the name implies is a less complex operation primarily designed to address body contour concerns below the umbilicus (Belly Button). Breast Surgery
Corrective or revisional breast surgery is performed in our Raleigh, North Carolina AAAASF accredited operating suite using either twilight anesthesia or general anesthesia. The length of the procedure may vary from one to three hours depending on the exact procedures that need to be performed.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty is an aesthetic procedure that alters the size, position, or proportion of the ears. It is most often performed to reposition protruding ears closer to the head. Ears that “stick out” too far from the head can be the cause of great psychological distress in adults and children. In addition to reshaping the ears, there are also surgical techniques that address only the earlobes. Bariatric Surgery
Other tummy tuck patients may have excess skin on the abdomen caused by significant weight gain and then weight loss. Patients who have had bariatric surgery such as gastric sleeve or gastric band procedures may loose 100 pounds or more. It is not uncommon for these patients to feel frustrated with the appearance of the abdomen following such a large weight loss. Stretching of the abdominal wall and skin following this type of weight loss cannot be reversed with exercise or sit-ups.
Chin Augmentation
The chin and nose are facial features which clearly define a person’s profile. A chin that projects too far from the profile may be regarded as a “strong chin” while one that falls short may be considered “weak” or receding. Patients who desire a more flattering profile often require chin implants to improve the chin’s projection and bring the entire facial profile into harmony. A chin augmentation with implants can recontour the lower face and create a more pleasing profile. Implants are made of either silicone or Gortex. They are available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes which allow Dr. Morea to custom-fit the implant to the patient’s face.
